SD residents win award all about people
burn University at fall commencement exercises, according to Tom Stallworth, registrar. Mr. and Mrs. Moie Tendrich, long-time South Dade residents and lay leaders of Beth David Congregation, will be the recipients of the Israel Koah Award at the Beth David Congregation-Israel Dinner of State, Saturday, Dec. 4, it was announced by Rabbi Sol Landau. The dinner will be held in Spector Hall of the congregation at 7:30 p.m., preceded by a reception at 7 p.m. Name contest Felipe Gonzalez, of 835 SW 37th Ave., is the sixth and final winner of a complete new Magnavox Model 1720 AM/FM, eight-track modular stereo system in National Bank of South Florida's New Name celebration which ended Friday, Nov. 19. Spirit of "1776" The Valley Forge (Pa. Freedom Foundation awarded a plaque to Anthony Abraham Chevrolet, 4181 SW 8th St., for patriotic promotion and services." The dealership has featured "The Spirit of 1776" since January in newspaper advertising and on numerous billboard throughout the Greater Miami area. Navy notes Navy Seaman Recruit Robert C. Dunn, a 1975 graduate of Coral Gables High School joined the Navy in August 1976. College notebook Alice Goldhagen, 6395 Maynada St., Coral Gables, is among students who received bachelor's degrees recently at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Joseph Kenneth Coppedge, Jan Carroll Fritzgerald and Craig James Karpiak, were among some 906 graduates to receive degrees awarded by the two campuses of Auburn University
