(Continued from Page One) tions of the Tarail Report, which recommended among other things that the Community Chest contribute approximately $8,000. to cover total operating costs for a period of six months beginning March 1, 1946 and an additional $8,000. for the next twelve month period making a total of $16,000. over an eighteen month period, which, beginning March 1, 1946, would expire as of August 31, 1947. Against the proposed contribution from the Chest of $16,000. as of the end of the past fiscal year February 28, 1947, the Youth Center received from the Chest a total of $10,061. leaving a balance due, therefore, of $5,339. for the remaining six months of the eighteen month period. Tarail Cited "Following the additional recommendations of the Tarail Report, the Budget Committee was cognizant of the fact that the ultimate expectation for the Youth Center was to the effect that at the end of the eighteen month period, the Center would be so established as to become a basic part of the City's recreation program. To that end it was the recommendation of both the Budget Committee and the Board of Directors that the Chest continue financing this agency only for the first six month period of the 1947-48 fiscal year which expires as of August 31, 1947, at which time the financing of the agency by the Chest should be terminated in accordance with the intent of the Tarail Report," Eyster commented. "In order that this entire procedure may be worked out to the complete understanding of all parties concerned, it was the recommendation of the Budget Committee and the Board that between now and August 31, 1947, representatives of the Chest meet with representatives of the Youth Center and officials of the City of Coral Gables for the purpose of discussing the position taken by the Chest and a thorough explanation of it. "It is hoped if there are any questions resulting from your allocation, or if there are any questions as to future procedure, you will contact the Chest office in order that a complete understanding may be accomplished between both your agency and the Chest. You may be assured that the Chest is most anxious to cooperate in the complete fulfillment of your program within the limits of the financial resources of the Chest, in order to assure continued service to the community and efficient management of your agency," he concluded.
