To Say Vows Saturday
Miss Rose Marie DiMuzio will become the bride of Frank Huston McKnight, USA at four o'clock tomorrow at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Dr. Christopher P. Sparling will officiate. For her marriage the bride-elect will wear a white suit with white flower hat and accessories, orchid corsage. Lieutenant Jane Gray will be maid-of-honor and Sergeant Walter Dyer will be best man. Lieutenant Wisness will give the bride in marriage. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Di Muzio of Providence, R.I., the bride-to-be has been a member of the Woman's Army of the United States for three years, and at present is stationed at Pratt General Hospital. Her fiance is a sergeant in the mailing department of the Army, also stationed at Pratt. He spent two years in combat duty during the emergency. Following tomorrow's nuptials the couple will honeymoon in Havana, Cuba, and will reside in Coral Gables on their return.
V. F. W. AUXILIARY INSTALLS OFFICERS
The auxiliary of the Ray Renault Post, 5718, Veterans of Foreign wars, re-elected most of its officers to serve the second term of the new auxiliary, organized a year ago. The new officers, installed in ceremonies Friday at the Legion Home, were: President, Mrs. Elaine Lewis; senior vice president, Mrs. Mary Martin; junior vice president, Mrs. Ida Lee Harrell; treasurer, Mrs. Cora Lee Scobee; chaplain, Mrs. Pearl Kilcoyne; conductress, Mrs. Vera Heilman; guard, Mrs. Sarah Rosenbloom; trustees, Mrs. Denise Lanigan, Mrs. Katherine Kilcoyne and Mrs. Schook Smyers; color bearers Mrs. Louise Ott and Miss Katherine Kilcoyne. Mrs. Evelyn Anfinson, past department president of the State of Florida was the installing officer.
Mrs. A. C. Stebbins Becomes Member of the Golden Arrow
Sixty years a member of Pi Beta Phi, national social fraternity for women, has brought honors to Mrs. Arthur C. Stebbins of 915 Avenue Valencia. She was made a member of the Order of the Golden Arrow, which was chartered at the last Pi Beta Phi convention held in Swampscott, Mass., and which was established in recognition of those, who, throughout at least five decades have been members of the fraternity. Ceremonies honoring Mrs. Stebbins took place at the annual Founder's day celebration Monday night at the home of Mrs. W. T. Woodward, 1120 Avenue Valencia. Mrs. Stebbins, with her late husband, Arthur C. Stebbins, insurance executive of Lansing, Mich., has made her home in Coral Gables winters for the past 15 years. Varied and interesting has been the life of this eighty year old American, whose ancestors practically built the state of Michigan. She was born April 13, 1867 in Shiawassee County Michigan. Anna Burgoyne, the daughter of pioneer John Burgoyne, Young Anna Burgoyne attended ungraded schools and later entered Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan, from which she was graduated in 1887 and made a member of Pi Beta Phi. Her marriage took place five years later to Mr. Stebbins. Five sons Stowell, Courtland Bliss, George A., Francis Burgoyne and Rowland, all living all married were born to the union. There are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. Stebbins made five trips around the world and first visited Florida in 1908 when on a steamer trip to Havana, Cuba. In 1924 a West Indies cruise brought them again to Miami and in 1928 they began regular winter residence here buying their present Coral Gables home in 1932. Mrs. Stebbins spends her summers at her cottage in Harbor Springs, Michigan which the family has owned since 1902. She will be leaving soon accompanied by son Rowland of Lansing, who is arriving from Memphis, Tenn., where with his family he has been visiting. However next fall will find this loyal sorority sister and new member of the Order of the Golden Arrow back in her beloved Coral Gables home among her friends and flowers. MRS. Bride-elect Honored
Miss Ann Sargent, bride-elect of H. Gaither Perry, 3rd was honored with a shower Saturday afternoon at the home of her maternal aunt, Mrs. William F. Bull, 1043 Avenue Obispo. Mrs. Bull was assisted by her sister and house guest of South Orange, N.J. Mrs. R. C. Middlebrook also Mrs. F. T. Sargent, mother of the bride-to-be. Attending the party, in addition to the honor guests, were Mrs. H. G. Perry Jr., mother of the bride-groom elect; and her mother; Mrs. F. H. Ragon, Mrs. Lewis Steinor, Mrs. Hoke Parham, Miss Marjorie Campbell, Miss Mary Margaret Sargent, and Mrs. Ray Lipe, daughter of the hostess Mrs. Bull.
Soroptimists Plan Meeting
Coral Gables organizing members of the Soroptimist Club will hold its next meeting, at 8 p.m. May 9 at the home of Mrs. Ruby Lee Minar in Miami Springs. Miami Springs club sponsors the Gables group. The members joining with the new organizing Miami Beach group met at the home of Mrs. Russell Stover on Hibiscus Island Friday night for a buffet supper. Attended by more than fifty, the four groups, Miami, sponsoring the Beach group and Miami Springs sponsoring the Gables group were acquainted with the plans and objectives of the organization.

MIRACLE MILE SHOPS TO COOPERATE WITH CLUB
Smith College Club alumnae under the able leadership of Mrs. A. B. Morrison, president, will sponsor three days of shopping, May 12, 13 and 14 along Miracle Mile with the merchants on the "Mile" cooperating to the fullest. The percent of proceeds from the sales on those days will be devoted to the scholarship fund drive undertaken by the college alumnae. The shops participating in this drive will have orange posters with Smith College Anniversary Drive printed on them. Smith College alumnae and actives will be on the "mile" wearing badges. They will assist shoppers. Monday's shopper "guides" in-clude Mrs. J. Lawrence Carroll, captain; Mrs. C. W. Sutherland, Mrs. Frank Myers, and Mrs. William F. Bull as hostesses. Block "rovers" for the day will be Mrs. Edwin Mairs, Miss Wilmotine Owen and Miss Emily Hector. Tuesday, Mrs. Thomas Otto will be captain. Her assistants will be Miss Rebecca Peoples, Mrs. D. Richard Mead, Mrs. W. A. Nicholson, Mrs. H. P. Low, Miss Ser-epta Terletzky and Mrs. Herbert W. Virgin. Mrs. George Price will be captain on Wednesday. Hostesses include Miss Jean Lind, Mrs. G. A. Medcalfe, and Mrs. Cyril B. Arnold. Roving the Miracle blocks for that day will be Mrs. Paul Palmer, Mrs. Gaines Wilson and Mrs. O. F. Martin.
