Honeymoon in Europe Next For Brawners

Mrs. Philip L. P. Brawner On a month tour of Europe, are Mr. and Mrs. Philip Livingston Poe Brawner following their wedding Saturday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church of South Miami. The bride, the former Miss Carol Ring Wallace, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Eugene Wallace of 6800 San Vincente Ave., Coral Gables. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Pierce Brawner of Ocean Ridge, Fla. The Rev. Arthur J. Rantz officiated at the 8:30 p.m. ceremony, with a prelude of Bach music by organist Mary Winter Perrin. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a handsome gown of candlelight pure silk peau de soie and re-embroidered Alencon lace. Designed on princess lines, the skirt draped to the back and formed an aisle-wide train. Her bouffant veil fell from a matching peau de soie cap and she carried a bouquet of calla lilies. The bride's five attendants wore floor-length gowns of tea rose silk organza, styled on princess lines. Hats were small lace prayer caps, in matching pink, with matching shoes and long kid gloves. They carried Anthurium blossoms bouquets. Miss Margatet Marshall Phelps of Coral Gables was honor maid. Bridesmaids were Miss Almalee Cartee, Mrs. John Upshaw Miller, Mrs. Alfred Eldredge Jr., all of Coral Gables, and Mrs. William P. Bingham, sister of the groom, of Concord, Mass. H. Pierce Brawner, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Eugene Wallace, brother of the bride, John Sullivan and John Grogan all of Coral Gables; Harry Taylor Jr. of Miami Beach, William P. Bingham of Concord, Mass., and Courtland Smith of Cali, Colombia, S.A. The reception followed at Riviera Country Club. Mrs. Wallace, mother of the bride, chose a mint green, chiffon, floor-length gown with crushed bodice. The dress complimented with a draped sheath skirt. Her hat was of the matching chiffon, crushed effect-with tiny veil. She wore green lady slipper orchids. Mrs. Brawner, motheer of the groom, wore a floor-length, beige-gold, silk shantung gown with belle skirt. Her hat matched the gown and she wore brown toned orchids. The couple will reside at 3710 Segovia St. upon their return. The bride was graduated from the University of Georgia where she pledged Chi Omega Sorority. She made her debut at the Surf Club in the December 1955 presentation. She is a provisional member of the Junior League and is a member of the Riviera and Coral Gables Country Clubs, and the Bath Club, Miami Beach. A graduate of Princeton, class of 1953, the groom attended the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and earned his law degree at the Harvard Law School, class of 1958. He is a member of the Bachelors Club and a member of the Surf Club, Miami Beach. At present he is a practicing attorney.

We're looking for a Good Samaritan, a pair of them really. Mrs. Raymund McAdams of 2301 Alhambra Cir. would like to contact the two women who assisted her the afternoon of May 2 when she had a fall in the 1400-block of her street. "They were so nice to help me home and I've forgotten their names," says Mrs. McAdams. "I would like to know." She is recuperating satisfactorily at Doctors' Hospital from a broken pelvis.
