Two Florida State University senior students from Coral Gables have been assigned duty as cadet officers in the FSU Army Reserve Officers Training Corps battle group. They are Thomas Robert Prebianca, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prebianca, 1425 Baracoa Ave., a cadet captain; and Thomas Gaylord Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Schultz, 1525 Delgado Ave., as a cadet commander. * * * Mrs. Arthur Engstrom, 4233 Douglas Rd., is the newly elected president of The Flamingo Club (founded in 1941). Knight, (USN ret.) and Mrs. Knight, 521 Zamora Ave., welcomed home their son, A-C George S. Knight of the US Air Force, who has been stationed for some time at Otis Air Force Base, Mass. He will leave early in March for Bovington, England, where he will serve in the Air Force for the next three years. * * * Due to an error in printing, the name of Mrs. Alice Hamlin, a sister of the bride, was omitted from the wedding story of Christine Neim and Eugene J. Bardakjy, published in last week's Times. Mrs. Hamlin was a bridesmaid, one of the four attendants to the bride. * * * Many Gableites may have had their first glimpse of the new Country Club of Miami when they were guests last Thursday for cocktails with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P Caldwell, 4725 Santa Maria St., and the James Brumbys of 800 Anastasia Ave., the hosts.
