It's Interama, Gableites Told Dirt to Fly on 40-Year-Old Dream
A record turnout of 150 Coral Gables business and professional men and women jammed the Polly Davis Cafeteria last Thursday morning for the monthly Coffee Club of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. The speaker was Dr. Irving E. Muskat, Chairman of the Inter-American Center Authority. He discussed the past vicissitudes of Interama, its present status and the plans for its ultimate development. For 40 years, the idea of Interama, variously named and fuzzy in concept, has been a part of the Miami dream. At last, Dr. Muskat assured his audience, it has been sharply defined and is close to realization. The site of Interama will be the 1,707-acre Graves Tract, located between U.S. 1 and Biscayne Bay, from N.E. 135th to 183rd Streets. Contracts to bulkhead and fill the first 658 acres will be let as soon as six million dollars of an authorized 23-million-dollar bond issue has been approved by the Authority and validated in the courts. This is expected to be accomplished in about 90 days. The dirt will fly by June 1, if no further unexpected roadblocks appear. Dr. Muskat reported that the theme of Interama will be "Progress with Freedom." "It will be a showcase of the American way of life," he said. kat observed that Interama when completed would double the flow of tourists to the Miami area.

NEURITIS THE CAUSES & CURES
By Dr. Melvin P. Deutsch Neuritis is one of the most painful and nerve wracking experiences known to mankind. The pain is boring and stabbing. The victim is unable to get any rest or sleep. Every moment means suffering: There is loss of power and feeling. A local inflammation of a nerve is called simple neuritis. It is usually caused by pressure on a nerve at a point of exit from the spine. Pressure on a nerve near the surface of the body, such as the shoulder or elbow will result in numbness and tingling. Repeated constriction and pressure may result in inflammation of the affected nerve. The nerve sheath or neurolemma may squeeze the sensitive nerve fibers and form adhesions. This will aggravate the neuritis and develop into a chronic stage. Blows, falls, contusions and long exposure to cold will result in a similar way. The spine should be checked in all cases. DR.
