NEWLY ELECTED officers of the Country Club of Coral Gables Women's Golf Association are from the left, Mrs. John Finerty, president; Mrs. Howard McClain, golf chairman; Mrs. Bernard Neary, secretary; Mrs. Stanley Burke, treasurer; and Mrs. Richard Schmid, historian. The group was installed by Claude Pepper at their Silver Anniversary luncheon held Friday of last week at the club.
Folk Song Concert Is On Sunday
Hungarian and Latin American folk songs will be given at the regular four o'clock Sunday afternoon concert at the Musicians Club, 303 Minorca, by Frances Sebel, sopranoist. The second part of the program will be devoted to Cuban piano music by Mme. de Blanck de Coro. Mme. Sebel will be accompanied by Kathleen Deedmeyer.

Roberts Beiler, Coral Gables Senior High graduate, now a freshman at Allegheny College, is one of 10 candidates for treasurer of the freshman class. * * * Phil Slotsky, University of Miami, has been appointed by Temple Zamora to supervise its newly organized Teen Age Social Group. CADET TURNER The Benjamin Turners, 2310 Granada Blvd., said this week their 19-year-old son, Robert, has made the dean's list at West Point. Young Turner, in his first year at West Point, was graduated from Coral Gables High in the upper third of his class with a 3.1 average. Turner got his appointment last January through Congressman Dante Fascell. The Gableite is considering the foreign service as a career. * * * Ivan Pouchine, a member of the New York Stock Exchange, will speak on "Our Money's future—What Effect the Current Crisis Will Have on our Financial Status," this morning (Thursday) at 10:30. He will address the Riviera Women's Republican Club of Coral Gables at the Coral Gables Country Club. * * * Boy Scout Troop No. 7 gave Eagle Scout awards last night (Wednesday) to two of its members at their log cabin meeting house at the Coral Gables Country Club. Honored was Bill Malone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Booth G. Malone, 3226 Riviera Dr.; and Jesse Vadakin, son of Prof. and Mrs. James Vadakin, 1450 Ancona Ave. Both boys are 15-year-old sophomores at Coral Gables Senior High. * * * Mrs. Robert Werner, 6810 Granada Blvd., will open her home Saturday morning to members of the Miami Women's Panhellenic Association. Mrs. James S. Billings Jr., will show a color film on the activities of the Museum of Science and Natural History. * * * Bernard G. Diedrich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Diedrich, 2412 N. Greenway Dr., has completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center, San Diego.

Hi-Neighbors Organize Own Singing Club
The Hi-Neighbors have formed a glee club which is already practicing for a Christmas program.
