The women of Temple Beth Sirah, 11289 So. Dixie Hy., are sponsoring a Harvest Ball (costume) at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Sunniland Hall. There will be an orchestra, prizes and refreshments, according to Ruth Steinberg, publicity chairman. Donation is $1.25 per person. Original, funniest and prettiest costumes, can win prizes, Saturday when the home owners, members of the Malibu Home Owners Association, 56th Ter., and 92nd St. hold a block Halloween party. Square dancing, refreshments and rides for the family will be featured, beginning at 7 p.m. Mrs. Betty Gurland, president of the Southwest Jewish Center Sisterhood will preside at the 8 p.m. meeting of the group today (Thursday) at the center. The Singing Strings Trio of the South Miami Music Club will make music for the first club affair a fashion show Saturday, Nov. 4, to be held in the Miami Springs Villas Playhouse. Proceeds will be used to benefit the club's projects for the year, including its scholarship fund for deserving young artists. Mrs. Thomas A. Knight and Mrs. Valley K. Bennett are co-chairman. The public is invited, and reservations may be made by calling MO 1-6035 or MO 6-2832.

Sutton Place Opens; New Restaurant
Sutton Place Restaurant has opened at 4580 SW 8th St. It is operated by Abe Maloff. The decor is modern English with antique and Old Master accents. The restaurant will be open from 4:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. Maloff lives at 6117 Riviera Dr. He was with Food Fair for about 15 years as an executive.
