Coral Jewish Center ‘Emperor's Clothes’ Attract Children
About 260 children attended a presentation Sunday afternoon of Hans Christian Anderson's "The Emperor's Clothes" at the Coral Way Jewish Center, 8755 SW 16th St. The Sisterhood of the Center sponsored the play. The [?]ct play will be "The Golden Goose." No date has been set. The fairy tale dealing with an emperor obsessed with the importance of clothes was presented by an acting troup headed by producer-director Irv West. He also played the first prime minister. Members of the Single Young Adults at the Center were ushers and usherettes at the performance. They are: Ellen Altman, 15400 SW 84th Ct.; Manny Palgon, 2645 SW 24th St.; Debby Blumenthal, 7935 SW 22nd St.; Elaine Berman, 2100 SW 87th Ave. Bobby Chaykin, 1900 SW 87th Ct.; Marian Adelman, 3310 SW 92nd Ct.; Meryl Bernstein, 8501 SW 12th St.; Linda Darlow, 7911 SW 20th St. Shelby Freedland, 2225 SW 21 Ter.; Lenny Goldstein, 2835 SW 1 St.; Sandy Kramer, 5979 SW 16 Ter.; and Sandy Finkelstein, the North NE area. Ralph Davis handled the sound and lighting effects.

Orchid Show Tickets Available
Plans for the coming International Orchid Show are in full swing with 172 participants from the Coral Gables and South Miami area. Tickets for the show which will be held in Bayfront Park auditorium Feb. 23-26, 1962 are available now. Pre-sale ticket chairman, Mrs. W. R. Dripps, 4801 SW 86th Ter., said that the tickets "make wonderful Christmas cards and gifts . . . yet they cost less now than at the show entrance." Show chairman is John S. Gessner, 912 Escobar Ave., Coral Gables.
