Adults Can Register at Miami High
The Miami Senior High Adult Education Center, 2450 SW First Street, announces that registration is now open for the 16-week spring semester, Jan. 2 through April 30, 1962. Adults may register for classes by going to the school between the hours of 2 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The registration fee is $2 for each course. Most of the classes at the Miami Senior High Adult Center meet twice weekly from 7 to 10 p.m. The educational program includes work toward high school diplomas, business education (accounting, shorthand, stenocript, typewriting, office machines, stocks and bonds, and business law). Foreign languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and Russian). Insurance, management development, income tax accounting, and general adult courses such as psychology, creative writing, painting, drafting, woodworking, and refresher courses in reading, mathematics, and English. Counselors are on duty from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday to assist students in planning their educational programs. Library and cafeteria facilities are also provided for the adult students. Additional information about the adult classes at the Miami High Center may be obtained by telephoning the school, HI 3-5226 or HI 3-9341 between 2 and 9:30 p.m.
