Newlyweds Take Trip To Switzerland

On a wedding trip to Switzerland are Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Hundley, whose wedding took place Saturday, Oct. 8, at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church. The bride, the former Roberta Ann Zwahlen, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Zwahlen of 6340 West 8th Ave., Hialeah. The bridegroom who resided at 11740 SW 189th St., is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sheppey Joseph Hundley of Beachwood, N. J. The Rev. John H. O'Shea officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony. Bride's Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a bridal gown of peau de soie and imported Chantilly lace made with fitted bodice with Sabrina neckline and long fitted sleeves of the lace. The full skirt of the peau de soie was accented with hand clipped lace ruffles flowing from the waist into a chapel train. Her many-tiered silk illusion veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a Rosary entwined with garnet sweethart rosebuds with a pearl crucifix. The bride's sister, Mrs. William E. Merritt Jr., matron of honor, wore emerald green silk designed with Chantilly lace bodice with a tired silk organza, waltz length skirt. Her hat and shoes matched, and she carried an arm bouquet of coral anthuriums. Mrs. Diane O'Steen, Mrs. Roger Reece and Mrs. Ann Bieringer were bridesmaids, and Virginia Lee Zwahlen was junior bridesmaids. They wore shrimp silk organza and Chantilly lace ensembles made similiar to the maid of honor's gown, with matching hat and shoes. They carried coral Anthurium bouquets. Best Man Shelly Joseph Hundley was best man for his son. Ushers were Michael Kevorkian, Christopher Ward, Charles Schmaltzreid and William E. Merritt Jr. They wore formal cutaways. The reception followed the nuptials at the Lions Club, 4343 NW 17th Ave. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Zwahlen chose a pink beige sheath dress of taffeta and silk organza made waltz length and trimmed with flowing panel of the organza from the back of the waist. Her hat and gloves matched. Mother of the groom chose an imported sugar blue Swiss lace lined tulle gown designed with fitted bodice and softly draped skirt inserted with satin triangles. Her hat of net with a cluster of softly shaded feathers formed a pill box, and she wore matching accessories. Both matrons wore orchids. Among out-of-town guests were Mrs. Felicia Duer and Miss Ann Lindeke of Greenville, S.C. The bride is a graduate of Charles L. Coon High School, Wilson, N. C. and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N. C., where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and The Tidemen Skin Divers Club. The groom was graduated from St. Benedicts, Newark, N. J. He served in the Korean Conflict with the United States Army and is a member of the Tidemen Skin Divers Club.
