Rabbi Officiates At Daughter's Nuptials

MRS. LEWIS M. HEILBERG With the beautiful music of the Jewish blessing sung by the Temple Judea choir, the former Shirah Rannah Skop, daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Morris A. Skop, 3511 Riviera Dr., became the bride of Lewis M. Heilberg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Heilberg of Miami Beach and Cologne, Germany, at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 25, at the Temple. Three Rabbis assisted Rabbi Skop at the ceremony. They were Rabbi Leon Kronish of Temple Beth Sholem, Miami Beach; Rabbi B. Leon Hurwitz of Temple Zamora, Coral Gables, and Rabbi Morton Malavsky of the Israelite Center in Miami. Temple Choir Cantor Herman K. Gottlieb of Temple Judea directed the Temple choir with Mrs. Milton Cohen the soloist and William H. Rohm at the organ. The wedding reception followed in the Temple patio. For her wedding the bride wore a floor length gown of imported silk mist taffeta. The molded bodice was designed with open neckline outlined in Chantilly lace and lace appliques with long point-on-hand sleeves. The bouffant skirt, etched with lace, was gathered into a pouff at the back and swept into a regal train. Her voluminous veil of imported silk illusion fell from a jeweled crown. She carried white orchids and Valley lilies. Five Attendants The bride's five attendants wore identical gowns made alike of Romance blue silk organza with fitted bodice, scoop neckline and short sleeves. Their bouffant skirts fell in three tiers from a wedding ring waistline. They wore matching French hats and carried sprays of iris. They were Judy Ronci, maid of honor, and bridesmaids, Myra Dolinger, Sharon Klineman, Lottie Engel and Dena Skop, sister of the bride. Ray Skop, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Robert Brooks, Mike Botwin, Sal Ronci and Eli Skop, brother of the bride. After a wedding trip to Nassau, the couple will reside in South Miami. Both the bride and groom are teachers in the Dade County School System.

Couple Will Say Vows In August

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Robert Voorhees, 2838 SW 18th St., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Ann, to Thomas Patrick McMullan, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. McMullan Jr., 3310 NW 3rd St. An August wedding is planned by the couple. Born In Miami The bride-elect, who was born in Miami, was graduated from Miami Senior High School. She is a past Worthy Advisor of Ft. Dallas Assembly 3, Order of Rainbow Girls. She is a member of the Venture Club of Coral Gables and of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She is employed at the Coral Gables offices of the Southern Bell Telephone Company. Her fiance, also a native Miamian, is a graduate of Miami Senior High School, where he was chaplain of the Wheel Club during his senior year. Junior At Clemson He is presently a junior at Clemson Agriculture College, Clemson, S. C., majoring in Dairy Science. In his sophomore year he was a member of the Pershing Rifle Drill Team and is a member of the American Dairy Science Association. Both are active in youth work at their respective churches, the MISS VOORHEES bride-elect at the First Methodist in Coral Gables and her fiance at Riverside Methodist, where his parental grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. O. McMullan, 1026 SW 14th St., are charter members.

June Wedding Plans Outlined

Mr. and Mrs. John M. Myers, 9721 Jamaica Dr., Cutler Ridge, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Richard Patz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Patz of Allentown, Pa. The bride-elect attended Palmetto High School and is presently employed by a Miami firm. Her fiance is an Airman 3rd Class stationed at Homestead Air Base. He will have completed his assignment in February and will receive his discharge. While no date has been set, a June wedding is planned by the couple.

Club To Dance New Year's Eve

The French Club of Greater Miami is announcing a dance at the American Legion Home in South Miami. Francois Lardon is president. Mrs. James Frazier is dance chairman. Mrs. Andre Roatta, HI 6-6997, can be contacted for tickets. The dance is open to the public.

Music Teachers Meeting

The Miami Music Teachers Association will hold its regular monthly meeting on Friday, Jan. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Musicians Club of America, 303 Minorca Ave.

Yule Baskets Are Gifts For Musa Isle

Mrs. Charles B. Tutan, 5900 The Mall, director of conservation for the Miami Woman's Club, and Mrs. W. D. Thurmond, also of Coral Gables, chairman of gerontology and the club's special Indian welfare committee, delivered 10 Christmas baskets to Musa Isle Indian Village. Receiving and aiding the clubwomen was member Mrs. John A. Campbell, whose daughter, Mrs. George L. Stacy and Mr. Stacey, are the owners of Musa Isle Indian Village. Each basket contained canned food, a chicken, warm clothing and a blanket. Receivers were the Indian families, those hardest hit by hurricane Donna from the Ta-Miami Trail Indian area. Presentation was made at NW 17th St. and 27th Ave. the Thursday before Christmas.

Shopping Takes Toll Among Golfers

Christmas shopping was evidently more popular than golf Friday, when only 27 members of the Country Club of Coral Gables Woman's Golf Association turned out for the morning rounds. It was guest day, too, and six guests appeared. Low gross played in classes was the tournament. Mrs. Albert Bachman won first in Class A with a 45; Mrs. Al Mathers was second with a 47. In class B, Mrs. Stanley Burke and Mrs. William McKone tied with a 46 to win. Mrs. J. C. Finerty and Mrs. Alva Marsh tied with a 48 in second place. In class C, Mrs. W. Cavanaugh had a 49 to come in first and Mrs. Robert Grant, 53, was second. Guests Miss Patricia Duhaime had a 44, and Mrs. Gerald Hoelth a 49.

Musicians Club Plans 'At Home' On New Year's

The Musicians Club will be "at home" on New Year's Day. Bernard Kwartin, bass-baritone of Miami Beach, will sing at 4 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Kwartin, pianist, will accompany the singer, who will present songs by Verdi, Schubert, Strauss, Massenet and an original song, "I Think of Thee." New members of the club admitted during the past six months are Charles Powell, Mrs. Jean Ross and Mrs. Fabian Sevitzky, all of Coral Gables; Arden H. Thomas of South Miami; Carmen Nappo of Miami. Mrs. Moss J. Andary and Mrs. Violet W. Dunham, both of Winter Park; Mrs. Frank P. Whitmore, Mrs. James Smith, Mrs. S. W. Cooksley, all of Orlando; Ann Newkirk, Allen M. Potter and Marion B. Irish, all of Ft. Lauderdale; William Greenberg of Philadelphia, Pa.; Miss Gladys Russell, Uniontown, Ala.; Miss Adrienne F. S. Sullivan of Poughkeepsie, N. Y., and Mrs. Ida Stone Walker of Chester, N. J.
