August Wedding Plans Announced

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford K. Marshall of Maywood, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann Yvonne, to Ralph Vincent Comito, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph F. Comito. The Comitos, 474 NE 95th St., own and manage beauty shops in Miami Shores and Coral Gables. Miss Marshall is a sophomore in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami. She is corresponding secretary of Delta Zeta Sorority, sweetheart of Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity and a princess of the Army Reserve Officers Corps. Her fiance is a senior in Music Education at the University. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity, a representative to the Undergraduate Student Government, and a member of the University Band of the Hour. He also participates in Music Educators National Conference and the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program at UM. A late August wedding is planned in the future bride's hometown. Marriage Of James Rosasco Is Announced

Mr. and Mrs. John Rosasco, 1306 Libson St., invited a group of their friends Sunday evening to view their recently enlarged music room, but the occasion was really a reception for their son James and his bride, the former Elizabeth "Betty" Tower, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tower of Youngstown, N. Y. Both James and Betty are freshmen at the University of Miami. Their marriage took place on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, in Bainbridge, Ga. James met his future parents-in-law-to-be last Christmas, when he spent the holidays with Betty at her family's farm near Niagara Falls. Enroute to Coral Gables from California where they have been vacationing are Betty's parents.

8 Presidents Turn Out For Golf Rounds

Eight past presidents of the Biltmore Women's Golf Association came to the 13th annual birthday party of the Association held on Valentine's Day. They were Mrs. Jack Gilbert (1953), Mrs. G. E. Smith (1954), Mrs. Ralph Helms (1956), Mrs. Claude Kinder (1957), Mrs. J. V. O'Toole (1959) and Mrs. William Marshall, the 1960 president. Best ball foursome with 13 forsomes teeing off was the program. Winners were Mrs. Al Fonsot, Mrs. Leonard Peto, Mrs. Isabel Curry and Mrs. John Finerty with 59 the score. A three-way tie for second place went to Mrs. Claude Kinder, Mrs. R. S. Jarvis, Mrs. R. W. Brown and Mrs. Bert Frields, who came up with a 61.

Low Net Is Play For Women Golfers

Low net for the field was the order of golf Friday morning, when 54 members of the County Club of Coral Gables Women's Golf Association showed up for the morning rounds. There were five winners. Their scores were: Mrs. Harold Bennett, net 28 1/2; Mrs. R. L. Rice, 31 1/2; Mrs. Leland Lee, 32 1/2; Mrs. John Finerty, 33 1/2 and Mrs. Albert Anderson, 34.

News Of The PTA Founders Provide More Programs

By EUNICE TALL The regular February meeting of the Fairlawn Elementary School PTA will be held at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 28, at the Fairlawn cafetorium, 444 SW 60th Ave. The program will be a combination one, celebrating Founder's Day and honoring the male members of the PTA. Mrs. R. J. Tauber, second president, will present an "Action in Education" citation. Palmetto Elementary All Palmetto Elementary students will participate in a physical education demonstration tomorrow at 2 p.m. on the school grounds. This "spring festival" will show what pupils have learned this year in track and field sports. All Palmetto Elementary physical education teachers will be in charge of the program. Palmetto PTA members will sell refreshments. Sylvania Heights Elementary A PTA meeting celebrating the founding of PTA and honoring teachers of the school will be held this afternoon at Sylvania Heights Elementary school at 2:45 in the cafetorium. Mrs. James Eunick and Mrs. Kenneth Longhurst, members of the PTA board, will combine their talents to enact a skit entitled "Look Homeward Angel", a comedy honoring the founders of the PTA, Pheobe McPherson and Alice Vearney. Mrs. James Day, PTA board members, will do a reading entitled "Laurels for a Teacher." A vocal quartet of teachers will perform a parody on "16 Tons". Robert Janesi, fifth grade pupil, who received the title "Most Talented" in his Cub Scout Pack, will be at the meeting to sketch pictures. Mrs. Mabel Mather, school principal, will be present at this meeting. Refreshments will be furnished by fourth grade mothers. Ludlum Elementary Tomorrow night in the Ludlum Elementary School cafetorium the movie "Lili" will be shown. The first of the two continuous showings will be at 6:30. This show is open to the public. Students and adults admission by donation. Refreshments will be sold. All profits from this program will be used by the PTA for the benfit of students of the school.

Secretaries Will Gather

Miss Frances Johnson, president of the Coral Gables Legal Secretaries Association, extends an invitation to all legal secretaries in Coral Gables and South Miami to attend a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Country Club of Coral Gables. The purpose is for members to become acquainted with other members of this organization. Program will include the film, "Operation Abolition," to be shown for the first time in Coral Gables. Nancy Crawford, MO 7-3651, is taking reservations.

Fabric Painting Class Announced

Mrs. A. F. Peterson, chairman of the American Homes Department of the Coral Gables Woman's Club, is announcing a new class in fabric painting to be held each Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, at the clubhouse. Instructor is Enila Kealoha, who has a studio and may be contacted at FR 4-7505 for further details and fee.
