Suzanne Sotille Will Be Bride On June 10
Mr. and Mrs. James Sottile Jr., 2525 Indian Mound Trail, have announced the engagement of their daughter Suzanne, to Charles Guanci, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rafael J. Guanci of El Portal. The betrothal was made known Saturday at a family dinner party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sottile. The wedding is planned for June 10. The bride-elect was graduated from Immaculata Academy and is a freshman at the University of Miami. Her fiance who had some of his schooling in Arlington, Mass., where his parents formerly resided, is a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School for Boys. He is presently a student at the University of Miami.
Let Others Enjoy Your Art Objects
Members and patrons of the Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery, University of Miami, are receiving invitations from the Beaux Arts Club (of the Lowe Gallery) asking the loan of objects of art. The Beaux Arts members have undertaken the project, which has long been the wish of the director of the Gallery, to exhibit such treasurers in various projected exhibitions. Suggested articles to be loaned are paintings, sculpture, archaeology, decorative art costumes, furniture, Americana, jewelry and oriental art. Mrs. Francis W. Sams and Mrs. John M. Murrell Jr. are chairman of the Beaux Arts Collectors Project for the gallery.
Army, Air Force Units To Crown Coed Queens
The Army and Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps will crown their coed queens at the University of Miami Joint Military Ball. The dance, sponsored by the Arnold Air Society and Scabbard and Blade Society, will be held Friday, Feb. 24, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Miami Springs Villas Playhouse. UM cadets and their dates as well as regular Air Force and Army Detachment officers and members of the U. S. AFROTC detachment inspection unit will attend in formal military attire. Music will be provided by Art Giles and his Gold Coast Band. Magician-comedian Del Breece will entertain. This year UM is national headquarters for both Arnold Air Society and its female counterpart, Angel Flight.

They Celebrate 50 Years Of Marriage
MR. AND MRS. PREGEMZER Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Pregemzer, 737 Majorca Ave., celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last Sunday, Feb. 19. The couple first met in Duluth, Minn., where Mr. Pregemzer was working for Swift and Co. His bride-to-be had just been graduated from high school. The 18-year-old girl was serving at a church social when Mr. Pregemzer asked to take her home. They were married the next year. To Chicago The Pregemzers were then transferred to Chicago for 10 years, east to New York, and back to Chicago. The couple got their first view of Miami in 1932. A year later they returned to Chicago and then made a final trip to St. Paul, Minn., where Mr. Pregemzer was retired in 1948 after 38 years of service. He ended his traveling career as Sales Unit and District Manager for the company. Spanish War Veteran Mrs. Pregemzer has remained a housewife since her marriage. Her husband is a veteran of the Spanish-American War and a member of General Pershing Camp 10 and VFW Post 5178. The couple has three children, Otto A. Pregemzer Jr. of Lakewood, Ohio; Mrs. G. J. Scheffer of Beatrice, Neb.; and Mrs. L. W. Moltz of Arlington Heights, Ill. They are also proud of 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Welcome Wagon Club
Mrs. J. A. Stefenga, program chairman of the Coral Gables Welcome Wagon Club, will present Muriel Egizi as guest speaker next Thursday at the club's regular monthly luncheon meeting at the County Club of Coral Gables. Mrs. Egizi will speak on "College Education and Extra Income." Card games will follow the luncheon.
National Secretaries
Members of the Coral Gables Chapter, National Secretaries Association, will meet in monthly dinner session at 7 p.m. Friday at the Ocean Ranch Hotel. The program will be discussion of the recently completed reassessment program in Dade County.
Hillel House To Be Setting For Coffee
Hillel House, University of Miami, will be the setting Wednesday when the Sunset Division, National Council of Jewish Women, meets at 12:30 p.m. for coffee and a social hour. Mrs. Sidney Lewis is president. Mrs. Robert Strassburg, 526 Perugia Ave., study group chairman, will moderate a program on resolutions to be presented at the biennial convention to be held in March in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Daniel Jaffee, 1705 SW 85th Ave., will be hostess for the Evening division when a games party will be held. Biscayne Division will meet at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Temple in Coral Gables for a covered dish luncheon when a film will be shown on the Council Ship—a box program which sends toys to kindergartens in Israel and other Near East countries. Gables PTA Will Hear Menotti Opera
"The Old Maid and The Thief", an American opera by Gian Carlo-Menotti, will be presented for the Founders Day program of Coral Gables High School Parent-Teachers Association. The special program will be presented in the school auditorium Tuesday, at 8 p.m., by professional members of the Opera Guild. James McCornick will star. This meeting will also honor the past presidents of the association and other outstanding persons who have contributed to the organization. Past presidents to be honored will be Mrs. S. M. Green, Mrs. Frank Kern, Mrs. George Crawford, Mrs. Richard Strain, Mrs. Lyle Pritchard, Mrs. F. E. Williams, Mrs. Ronald Park and Mrs. T. M. Holdcraft. Mrs. John Rosasco will also be honored for her contributions to the PTA in the past years. Parents may invite their friends to this program.
