Area Refugees Will Be Topic
The Rev. Ernesto Sosa, recently appointed to a national committee on refugees, will speak on "Current Refugee Problems in the Area" before the Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables. The Association's program will be held at 10:30 a.m., Feb. 24, in the chapel, 127 Alhambra Pl. A luncheon will follow in fellowship hall. Reverend Sosa is pastor of the First Spanish Presbyterian Church in Miami and director of the United Presbyterian Spanish Center. Mrs. H. E. Caldwell will conduct the devotional portion of the Association's monthly meeting.
Drops Derringer, Shoots Ankle
Fred August, 6221 SW 62nd Ter., was shot in the ankle Friday night, Feb. 17, when a gun he was carrying dropped to the floor and went off. According to August, who was the only one on the scene, he was carrying a .38 caliber double barreled Derringer in a holster across the front porch of his home. The weapon fell from the holster to the floor and fired on impact. The bullet hit August in the right ankle. He was treated at South Miami Hospital.

Realtors Study 'How To Sell'
"How To Sell" is the title of the Real Estate Seminar being offered by the Coral Gables Board of Realtors from Feb. 21 thru March 24. The course is designed to give professional knowledge on all aspects of selling. The 10 series of lectures will cover topics such as "What A Realtor Represents", "How to Sell enthusiasm" and "The Ability to Buy." Among the speakers are Ray Sterling, Harvey Klein, Ike Cahail, David Fenton, Buz Carl, Ted Slack, Kathryn Murphy, Marion McCune, Clyde Taylor, Bob McTague, Frank Kerdyk, Dana Woodman, Cliff Hendrick and Gene Davidson. All lectures will be given at Coral Gables Youth Center, 400 Anastasia, 8:30 to 10 a.m., Tuesdays and Fridays. Cost is 75 cents a lecture.

Elks Club Fire Called Arson In South Miami
A fire which South Miami police term arson caused some $25 in damage to South Miami Elks Club building, 6403 SW 78th St., Tuesday night, Feb. 14. According to the police, the fire, in the club's ladies' rest room, was believed to have started in a paper towel trash can. It spread to the wallpaper and one of the booths.

Temple To Be Host To Congregationalists
In observation of Brotherhood Week the Sisterhood and the PTA of Temple Judea will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. at the Temple.
