Singles group to meet at church
If you want to make the most out of being single, you might enjoy a program sponsored by the Solo Center, a Mental Health Association program for single adults. It will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m., at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 3420 Devon Road, Coconut Grove. Admission is free to Association members, $2 for the public. League members Become part of an organization that influences legislation. A membership meeting of the League of Women Voters will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m., at the home of Nina Posthelwaite, 5763 SW 65th Ave. For more information, call the League office, 373-5970. Also, a program on the electoral process, from caucuses and primaries through national conventions and the electoral college, will be presented at meetings of the League of Women Voters throughout the county this coming week. In South Dade, the program will be held at 15334 SW 102nd Ct. at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23; on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at 900 El Rado, Coral Gables; and Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 5763 SW 65th Ave., at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, Sept. 30, the program will be offered at 46 Bay Heights Ave., Coconut Grove, at 9:30 a.m.
