Asthma bike-a-thon set; sponsors needed for riders
"Ride a While for A Child" is the theme of this year's National Asthma Center Bike-A-Thon. It will be held this Sunday, Nov. 21 starting at the South Campus of Miami-Dade Community College at 10 a.m. Riders under 17 years of age will solicit sponsors and all proceeds will go towards the National Asthma Center at Denver.

Woman's club Cutler Ridge Woman's Club will meet Tuesday, Nov 23 at the Cutler Ridge United Methodist Church on Old Cutler Road and Marlin Drive at 8 p.m. Surviving Thanksgiving "Getting through Thanksgiving" will be the topic at Solo Center at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the Plymouth Congregational Church. A $2 donation is asked of persons who are not members of the Mental Health Association. Tiny fish "Aquarium Miniatures" will be featured at a meeting of the South Florida Aquarium Society, Monday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. at the Dade Federal Savings and Loan Association at SW 104th Street and Dixie Highway. Planning council The South Dade Estate Planning Council will be held Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Scott's Family Restaurant, 8717 SW 138th St. Garden club The Coral Gables Garden Club will be held Monday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Woman's Club, Building 1001 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd. at 2 p.m. The monthly Flower Show will feature designs for Christmas.
