Coral Gables company appoints architecture, engineering director
Connell Metcalf & Eddy, 1320 S. Dixie Hwy., has announced the appointment of Fred H. Kirsch as director of operations for architecture and engineering. In his position, Kirsch will have the management responsibility of all of Connell's architectural and engineering project production.

Chairman Dade County Commissioner Harvey Ruvin has been appointed chairman of an Energy and National Task Force of the National Association of Counties (NACO) Environment and Energy Steering Committee. The committee recommends legislative action to protect the nation's natural resources. The committee's scope includes air, water and noise pollution control; solid waste management and disposal; and conservation and development of energy supplies. President's List Steven Browdy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Browdy of 12304 SW 27th St., was named to the University of Miami Dean's List as well as the President's List. Browdy is a straight 4.0 student and is majoring in science at the UM. Promotions City National Bank of Miami announced the following promotions at its December board meeting: R. Grady Barrs, 6760 SW 68th Terr., to executive vice president; and Richard J. Hiss, 6647 SW 65th Terr., to senior vice president. President Jose Feito, Cuban-born U.S. citizen, will be installed Saturday, Jan. 8, as the first Latin-American president of the Florida South Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Also joining Feito as 1977 officers of the 400-member organization during the annual installation dinner dance at the Sonesta Beach Hotel on Key Biscayne will be vice president/president-elect Charles Harrison Pawley of Kendall, who succeeds Feito in that post. Other new officers are Charles Sieger, Kendall, who follows Pawley as secretary.
