Realtors give Representative civic award
The Kendall-Perrine Board of Realtors presented Rep. Bob McKnight a Special Civic Affairs Award in connection with the Sunrise School for the Retarded at the Board's recent Installation. Representative McKnight was instrumental in obtaining help through the legislature to keep the Sunrise School open in times of financial crisis last summer, when the school faced the possibility of having to close because of unsafe conditions of the facilities occupied. Through legislative assistance and Rep. McKnight's efforts, the school was moved to temporary facilities until a new facility can be constructed. The Sunrise School has been a special project of the Kendall-Perrine Board's Civic Affairs and Public Relations Committees.
