Our Phone's Busy Later Deadlines Mean You Get Paper Later
If you don't think The Times is read, just start tinkering with its delivery. For the last couple weeks we've been deluged with Thursday morning calls from subscribers wanting to know where the paper was. Frankly, we've been remiss in not telling you about our new printing deadline which has affected the time of distribution. In order to bring you later news, the paper goes to press later. Most subscribers will now receive their carrier-delivered paper on Thursday afternoon. Subscribers receiving the paper by mail should continue to receive it Thursdays, although due to some rescheduling, the paper may temporarily arrive instead on Friday. If this pens, we would like to know about it.

Use County's Registration New Voter Plan Would Add 7,000
By MAURICE LABELLE Times Staffer (Related Story on Page 2) Joint city-county registration for Coral Gables voters was proposed by City Commissioner Joe Murphy Tuesday in the wake of a poor election turnout. Murphy asked that joint registration be discussed at the next conference of the Commission, to be held Tuesday. If his idea is accepted the practical result is that 7,000 more voters will be eligible to vote in Gables elections. Presently, 10,371 are registered in the city. The county has about 17,000 Gableites on its books. EASILY DONE How would such a move be made? Simply. The city asks Metro to furnish its lists to the Gables for a nominal fee. The city then would abandon its own registration program. Meanwhile, with elections behind and a new Commission sworn in, The Times checked a complaint by a former resident that he had "voted" in the April 11 election. His implication was that others may have done so, too. "I thought perhaps you and your readers might be interested to know that I voted today in the Coral Gables election. "The reason I thought you might be interested is that although I was permitted to vote today, I have not been a Coral Gables resident since December, 1959, at which time I moved to my present home over four miles west of Coral Gables... "I am also curious if there (See New Plan, page 2)
