The Drains Are Married At St. Stephen's Church

Traveling both to Nassau and North Carolina on their honeymoon are Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Creighton Drain, whose wedding took place Friday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. The bride, the former Miss Carol Elwana Bellomy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Bellomy, of 711 Calatrava Ave. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gordon Drain of New York. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a candlelight gown of silk peau de soie, with Belgium hand embroidered lace trimmed bodice ending in points on the skirt, which fell into a cathedral train. Her butterfly veil fell from a cabbage rose headpiece and she carried white roses on her prayer book. The bride's 10 attendants wore gowns made alike of lavender satin with white silk organza overskirts made floor length, with matching head pieces and carried lavendar carnations. They were Mrs. John Mounts, matron of honor, Jane Bellomy, maid of honor, bridesmaids, Londa Hil[?], Janey Brooks, Andrea L[?], Verona Halifax, Jeanne Hefinger, Carol Flickinger, Judy Pesce, and Tamy Sterbenz. Randall Drain was best man. Ushers were John Mounts, John Foreman, Robert Foreman, John Mann, Claude Becker, James Ash, Lawson Rentz, Bob Yanno and Bill Beiler. The Rev. William Bruninga officiated at the 7:30 p.m. double ring candlelight ceremony, and the reception followed at the Riviera Country Club. Out of town guests were Mrs. J. W. Marshall of Dallas, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Wilcox, of New York and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zantop, of Detroit. The bride is a graduate of Coral Gables High School, and she was one of the 1961 debutante group presented at the Coral Gables Country Club. The groom is a graduate of Hill School, and Brown University, Providence, R.I. The couple will reside in Pensacola, where the groom will report for duty at the United States Naval Base. MRS. Strains Entertain Visiting Students

Those Spanish songs heard coming from the backyard of the Dr. Richard Strains' last week on Santa Maria Street were the serenade of the guests. The Strains entertained at poolside with a buffet supper.
