Ronald Albert Sabin Weds Helen M. Braun Saturday
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Albert Sabin, whose wedding took place Saturday morning at the Church of the Little Flower, are honeymooning along the Florida east coast. The bride, the former Miss Helen Marie Braun, is the daughter of Mrs. Edwin F. Braun, 836 Obispo Ave., and the late Mr. Braun. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Sabin, 43 Montilla Ave. The bride's brother, Ralph Braun of Eau Gallie, gave his sister in marriage. The Rev. Fr. Armand Gregoire officiated at the 9:30 a.m. double-ring ceremony. The bride wore a white silk, satin, floor-length wedding gown designed with fitted bodice, Sabrina neck line, long point on hand sleeves, and full "southern belle" skirt. The skirt was heavily embrodiered with large appliques of the lace. Her many-tiered silk illusion veil fell from a crown of pleated silk and she carried a white prayer book, topped with a white orchid, streamer-ed in stephanotis. The bridal gown and veil were the gift to the bride from her grandmother, Mrs. Augusta Ostey. Geraldine Testa was maid of honor, Diane Landry, bridesmaid, and Jeanne Sabin, sister of the groom, junior bridesmaid. They wore identical silk organza gowns of turquoise, made cocktail length with lace bodice, bracelet sleeves, cummerbund with black sash in back. They carried red roses. Raymond Sabin, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Maurice Martin, Vic Calay and Sam Chattaway. The reception took place at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 270 Catalonia Ave. The bride's mother wore a rose-beige lace sheath dress of silk crepe, matching accessories and white carnations corsage. Mother of the groom chose a dusty rose lace dress with matching jacket and accessories. Her flowers were white carnations. An interesting human interest note is the fact that the bride and groom originally met in 1958—and two years passed before they met again. Out-of-town guests included the bride's aunts, Mrs. Agnes Ritchey, and Mrs. Elisabeth Siemer both of St. Louis; the bride's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Braun, of Eau Gallie, and their children, Alynn Jane, Lesie and Marty. The bride was graduated from St. Theresa's Junior High School and Coral Gables High School. The groom is a graduate of Ada Merritt Junior High and of Coral Gables High School. He is a material analyst for Eastern Air Lines. The couple will reside at 161 SW 71st Ave. Mrs. Ronald Sabin
facts about fit
It is customary to think of men as being short, medium or tall in height and thin, medium or heavy in girth. And that, in fact, was about the way the clothing industry thought of men fifty years or more ago. An up-and-coming young company that had started life in 1872 wasn't satisfied with such a simplification however. It collected the measurements of thousands of men. It analyzed them. And in 1906 it started cutting clothes to fit the male figure as it really is, in all its many varieties. Today a Hart Schaffner & Marx suit is made in no less than 253 shapes and sizes (14 shapes and up to 20 sizes in each). But wait. Many of these suits can be had in a number of different models ranging from the conservative to the high fashion. Thus, there can be more than a thousand different shapes, sizes and models of a suit in one particular fabric! To a supply sergeant it would be a nightmare. But what a blessing to a man who wants clothes that feel well and look well. All he has to do is to go to Dick Richmond where Hart Schaffner & Marx clothes are sold exclusively.
