Gables Gal Friday May Be Belle of the Ball

A pretty 22-year-old Coral Gables receptionist with dark brown eyes may help you to help the postal department. One of five finalists in the "Miss Mail Early" contest is Mrs. Ann Garces, a bi-lingual receptionist for Kononof and Smith, architects and engineers at 2901 Ponce de Leon Blvd. The Latin beauty was selected over a host of other attractive girls. She was first nominated by the mailman on her route, James Outlaw. The idea of the contest, which will be topped by a dance Oct. 21 at the Fontainebleau Hotel, is to remind people that their mail can be processed and delivered quicker if it's dropped off at the post office in the morning, rather than the afternoon. Mrs. Garces, tall brunette, models for the City of Miami in her spare time. She was "Good Will Ambassador" in 1958-59 when she toured South America as a representative of Greater Miami. MRS.
