Bus Advertising Job Placed With Company

City bus advertising has been transferred from the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce to a national advertising firm. Philbrin and Coine has been named by the City Commission to handle the sale of advertising on the inside and rear of the municipally-owned busses. Outside side boards won't be used. The Chamber had been receiving approximately $2,000 a year as its share of the revenue cut. Philbrin and Coine will receive 50 per cent of the balance after the City get 15 per cent of gross and local advertisers are also to get a 15 per cent discount on ads. Present revenue has been reported at $3,200 and is expected to double.
