They Were Married at Coral Reef Yacht Club Friday
On a wedding trip to Vermont, with destination Atlanta where they will reside are Mr. and Mrs. John Southern Austin Jr., whose wedding took place Friday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Coconut Grove. The bride, the former Miss Linda Norwood McClain is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert McClain, of 343 Majorca Ave. Canon Don H. Copeland officiated at the 8 p.m. ceremony and the reception followed at the Coral Reef Yacht Club. The bride wore a gown of white peau de soie with Alencon lace reembroidered in seed pearls, trim on the fitted bodice and draped floor length skirt. Her French illusion veil fell from a coronet of pearls and she carried a sheaf of white anthurium. Attended by six bridesmaids, who were Mrs. Murray McClain, Miss Margaret Monnaw, all of Coral Gables; Miss Bavilana Mayo, Mrs. Gibson Johnston Jr., and Mrs. Edwin Lauls of Atlanta. The attendants wore coral taffeta and mousseline de soie sheaths and carried bouquets of sea grape and coral anthurium. Randy Austin was best man. Ushers were William Eisenhauer, Sid Stapleton, George Panol and Murray McClain. The bride a graduate of Emory University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, held membership in the Junior Assembly, Twenty Little Working Girls and the Spinsters. The groom is a graduate of Emory University where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, highest mens leadership fraternity. He is an instructor in Ger-man at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. MRS. JOHN AUSTIN
