Veeda Cromer, bridge authority, has been named "bridge pro" at Westbrooke Country Club. She will give instructions in bridge and organize competitions. * * * The Henry M. Havigs of Grand Forks, N.D., will be returning in mid-January for another season here. Many local businessmen will remember Havig as the man who gave such unstinting help in the re-organization of the Gables Chamber of Commerce last year, an activity which is Havig's retirement has become virtually a hobby wherever he is. * * * When Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Bradley, 6145 SW 102 St., traveled to Baltimore Md., for the holidays, they got a big taste of almost-forgotten winter weather. "It snowed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and we just had a ball watching it and then going out walking around," Mrs. Bradley laughed. "We had not seen snow in years; it was quite an experience," she said. The Bradleys went to Baltimore to see their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bradley and their children Dick and Bob. After spending six days in 10 degree temperatures and eight inches of snow, Mrs. Bradley said she and her husband knew just how the tourists feel when they returned to Florida. Mrs. Bradley's brother Ray Cox, Birmingham, Ala., is visiting with them for several weeks. He has been a winter visitor for years.

Woods, Marine Second Lieutenant, has completed a basic course for newly commissioned Marine Corps officers at the Marine Corps School Command, Quantico, Va. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Woods, 825 S. Alhambra Circle. * * * Dr. and Mrs. N. B. Jones have returned to Cordele, Ga., after spending the holidays with life-long friends here, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Burts, 3130 Segovia St.
