Let Others Enjoy Your Art Objects

Members and patrons of the Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery, University of Miami, are receiving invitations from the Beaux Arts Club (of the Lowe Gallery) asking the loan of objects of art. The Beaux Arts members have undertaken the project, which has long been the wish of the director of the Gallery, to exhibit such treasurers in various projected exhibitions. Suggested articles to be loaned are paintings, sculpture, archeology, decorative arts, costumes, furniture, Americana, jewelry and oriental art. Mrs. Francis W. Sams and Mrs. John M. Murrell Jr. are chairman of the Beaux Arts Collectors Project for the gallery.

They Celebrate 50 Years Of Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Preegemzer, 737 Majorca Ave., celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last Sunday, Feb. 19. The couple first met in Duluth, Minn., where Mr. Preegemzer was working for Swift and Co. His bride-to-be had just been graduated from high school. The 18-year-old girl was serving at a church social when Mr. Pregemzer asked to take her home. They were married the next year. The Pregemzers were then transferred to Chicago for 10 years, east to New York, and back to Chicago. The couple got their first view of Miami in 1932. A year later they returned to Chicago and then made a final trip to St. Paul, Minn., where Mr. Pregemzer was retired in 1948 after 38 years of service. He ended his traveling career as Sales Unit and District Manager for the company. Spanish War Veteran Mrs. Pregemzer has remained a housewife since her marriage. Her husband is a veteran of the Spanish-American War and a member of General Pershing Camp 10 and VFW Post 5178. MR. AND MRS. PREGEMZER

Newest Addition For The Leshaws

Mr. and Mrs. Jay E. Leshaw and family are enjoying a second story section recently added to their home. Friends and neighbors of the Leshaws were amazed upon seeing how this addition beautified this home located at 1110 Andora Avenue, Coral Gables. "It adds so much to the distinction of the home," one neighbor remarked. Mr. Leshaw, president of the Art Construction Company, explained, "like most families we needed more space (but did not want to destroy the beauty of the landscaping and outdoor area.) We had no other alternative but to build up." This addition was designed and constructed by the Art Construction Company of Coral Gables. —Adv.
