MRS. ROBERT COTTON FITE

Linda Anne Williams Marries R. C. Fite

A candlelight service Friday evening at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, South Miami, united the former Miss Linda Anne Williams and Robert Cotton Fite in marriage. The Rev. Arthur J. Rantz, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyons Hunter Williams Jr. of 7380 S.W. 54th Court. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter Fite of Pine Drive, Miami. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk peau de soie gown with reembroidered Alencon lace designed with fitted bodice, portrait neckline, long sleeves. The full skirt fell to a cathedral train. Her voluminous veil of imported silk illusion fell in tiers from a cap of matching lace, and seed pearls. Her flowers were white orchids and lily of the valley. Dorothy Williams was maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Mary Dodd Trammell, Susan Drake, Celeste Leffingwell and Charlotte Schildecker all of Miami, and Jo Bryan Robertson of Litchfield, Ky. They wore gowns made alike of sky blue chiffon and carried bouquets of American beauty roses and stephanotis. Mr. Fite was best man for his son. Ushers were John Drake, Lyons Hunter Williams III, Jack Cheatham, Ti mSullsau, Beatty Collins and Gibson Johnston. After a honeymoon in Nassau, the couple will spend the summer in Maine.

Robert Newman Reelected Head of Temple Beth Am

Robert Newman has been reelected president of Temple Beth Am of South Miami. Joseph Altschuller, currently chairman of the Beth Am school board, has been elected executive vice president. Other vice presidents are Barney Bernstein, Albert Levine, and Byron Cherkas. Milton Russinof was elected treasurer, Harry G. Gunther, financial secretary, Anita Molien, recording secretary, and Freda Brenner, corresponding secretary. Newly elected directors are Herbert Blume, Ben Clein, Murray Dubbin, Herman Feldman, Nathan Gaines, Lewis Gillis, Norman Green, Alan Kessler, Marvin Koffman, Milton Korotkin. George Light, Joseph Masters, Herbert Mintz, Nor Morton Orbach, Harold Pomerantz, Milton Rapport, Phil Revitz, Maurice Rudnick, Elsie Segal, Sidney Schreer and Joseph Solomon. On the board of trustees are Herman Feldman, Jack Green, Jay Kislak, David Light, Dr. Irwin Perlmutter, Ed Roth, Joshua Segal and A. B. Wiener.
