Our Area Senior Citizens Help Whip North Miami

The All States Friendship Club, made up of senior citizens, held a World Series of their own Thursday. Instead of baseball, it was shuffleboard, bridge and pinochle. About 128 persons played. The Coral Gables club whipped a senior citizens group from North Miami, 73-58, at the clubhouse on Valencia Avenue and Columbus Blvd. The rivalry began last year. Each club has won two, lost two tournaments. The winning club, this time the Gables group gets to keep an 18-inch high trophy as top prize until the next contest. A Pair of 2-Story, $192,000 Apartments Will Join Sunrise Harbour Skyline

Two, two-story apartments, costing $192,000 are to be built in Sunrise Harbour at Douglas Road and Edgewater Drive. Owner will be Hill Sarbro Inc. of Coral Gables. General Contractor for the large, 166 by 75-foot buildings is Wessell Construction Industries, Inc., also of Coral Gables. The architect is Hilliard T. Smith Jr., of Lake Worth. Thirty-two units are included. Each of the two buildings will have 12 one-bedrom, one-bath units, two with two bedrooms and two baths, and two with two bedrooms and one bath. Air conditioning is included.
