Jr. Bowl Queen Line Of Hopefuls Grows
Entrants for the Junior Orange Bowl Queen Elimination Round, scheduled for Dec. 9, have more than doubled the applications turned in by this time last year, the South Miami Recreation Department announced. Five girls will be chosen to compete for the title of Junior Orange Bowl Queen. The finals will be held at the Coral Gables Youth Center Saturday afternoon, Dec. 16. Any girl who has passed her twelfth birthday and has not reached her fourteenth birthday by Dec. 16 is eligible to enter. Entry blanks may be obtained from the City Hall, Recreation Department, 6130 Sunset Drive, South Miami, any week day from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Entrants are: Rene Rubin, Gail Gold from West Miami High School; Kathy MacGinnis, Carolyn Aibman, Lori Blank, Kathleen Jackson from Riviera Junior High, Gay Angel, Evelyn Carr, Barbara Jean Chenowith, Barbara Ellen Smith from South Miami High School; Barbara Chievara from Rockway Junior High School. Pamela Jean Cunningham, and Bevalie Lee from Cutler Ridge Junior High; Gail Gold from West Miami Junior High; Elaine Gunter, Madelain Jo Rockstein and Sandra Ann Stone from Ponce Junior High School.

"Mothers of Twins," a non-profit organization with chapters throughout Dade County dedicated to aiding parents of multiple birth children, will hold a rummage sale Saturday, at Central Shopping Plaza, NW 37th Avenue and 7th Street. Mrs. Isabella Wolf, 2453 NW 3rd St., chairman of the organization's Ways and Means Committee, said the group provides information, research and, when needed, welfare to families of twins. President of the organization is Mrs. Phyllis McCoullough. The rummage sale will consist of clothing, household articles and "white elephant" items.
