Berenice Clayre Swing your partner, learn to batik, or take a course in musical comedy in one of many courses offered by community organizations starting in January. Learn the do-sa-do, pass through, promenade and flutter wheel at a beginning square dance class sponsored by Dade County Parks and Recreation Department. The 10-week class begins Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Tamiami Youth Fair Building Annex, 10901 SW 24th St. Open to all adults, registration will be held at the beginning of the first three class sessions. Registration fee is $10. Instruction will include the basic 75 choreography steps. For further information call 223-7070. Classes geared to budding artists from children to grandparents are being offered in the Beaux Arts Winter Art Classes at the Lowe Art Museum starting Jan. 25. Register now for parent-child ceramics and tie-dying, fabric design or poetry, music and painting workshops. Or enroll in classes teaching crafts, drawing and painting, sculpture and ceramics or parent(or grandparent)-child crafts. Workshop fees range from $10 to $30 with class tuition from $45 to $55.
