Presbyterian Sermon Topics Are on Spiritual Mathematics

Continuing a series of sermons on Spiritual Mathematics, Dr. Nevin H. Schaaf, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables, will preach on "The Principle of Spiritual Subtraction" at the 11 o'clock morning worship service, Sunday, April 20. Beatrice [?It int, director, will pre-?] sent the Choir in the Anthem, "Immortal, Invisible" (Thiman) and Warner Hardman, Organist, will play "Angelus" (Massenet) and "Grand Chorus" (Stern). The youth of the Church will meet as a Westminster Fellowship in the Parish House at 6:30 P.M. with Robert Holman, president, presiding.

Congregational

Guest preacher at the Community Congregational Church will be Dr. Harry I. Marshall who speaks on "The Test of World Leadership". Marilyn Foerster, soprano, will sing "The Cry of the First Bird", by Guion, also Geraldine Rasmussen, soprano, and Louise Kruse, contralto will be heard with the Choir in H. R. Shelley's "There Is A Holy City". James Hansen, organist, substitutes for Mrs. Bergh and will play "Chanson" by Ravel, "Fantaisie by Daguerve and "Gothic March" by Magsell. Church School at 9:45, "A.M. also class in Old Testament study conducted by Dr. Marshall. Beginners and Primary classe at 11:00 A.M.

University Baptist

The University Church will have two special musical numbers presented at the Morning Worship Service at 11 o'clock. The choir, under the direction of Mrs. Charles E. Park will sing the anthem "With Everlasting Love" by Reed. Mr. John F. Willmett will as a solo "prayer" by Guian. The pastor, Dr. Ladislau Biro, will bring the message of the morning. The Sunday School will meet at 9:45 and the Training Union at 6:30 p.m. The message at the Evening Worship Service at 7:30 P.M. will be brought by the pastor.

Episcopal

The adult Confirmation class will meet at 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in the Church. This class of instruction, conducted by the Rector, will be for forty-five minutes each Sunday afternoon until Confirmation on Whitsunday, May 25. The class for juniors conducted by the Curate, meets on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Persons desiring this Hearing are requested to communicate with the Clergy. Services in S. Philip's Church next Sunday, the second Sunday after Easter, will be a Celebration of the Holy Communion at 8 a.m. Church School 9 a.m. Morning Prayer at 11 a.m. with Sermon by the Rector, Dr. Christopher P. Sparling, subject, "The Good Shepherd". The Anthem "In Joseph's Lovely Garden", Traditional Spanish, arranged by Clarence Dickenson, will be presented by the Choir, [TEXT LOST] Miss Freddie Lu Wilcox, soloist; Voluntary "Adagio Cantabile" by Beethoven and Postlude "Victory March" by Mallard will be presented by Mary Conover Winter, Organist and Choir Director.

Country Club Christian

"Well-diggers" is the message of the Eleven O'clock Morning Worship Service at the Country Club Christian Church, 1009 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, (Women's Club Building), by the Pastor, the Rev. Harvey John Fritsch. Holy Communion will be observed. Bible School mets at 10:00 o'clock with classes for all ages. The Christian Endeavor Society of the church is to have a gala outing on Sunday afternoon, a beach party on Sunny Isles. The young people will leave the church at 1:30 and all young people are invited to join the crowd. The beach party will include fun on the beach, a weiner roast, and a vesper service held in the light of a big bonfire on the beach.
