Business Firms Are Reapproved For Vet Training

TALLAHASSEE, — (ENS) — The State Department of Education has reapproved 901 business firms in Dade county as meeting the recent Federal requirements for the training of veterans for higher positions under the on-the-job training program. Other firms have been requested to file applications which show that they meet the new Federal requirements if they desire to continue on-the-job training programs or to establish new programs in which training benefits are available for veterans. Applications in Dade county should be filed with Supervisor Don T. Mann, 1410 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami 36. The State is required by General Bradley, Administrator of Veterans Affairs in Washington, to cancel all on-the-job training agencies unless they have reapplied to meet present State and Federal requirements. Registered apprenticeship training programs are exempt from this ruling.
