They Want New Face On Giralda

A group of Giralda Avenue—Merrick Way businessmen appeared before the City Commission recently to request four changes in that downtown area: Change angle parking on Giralda to parallel between Douglas Road and Merrick Way. Make Giralda a two-way street between Merrick Way and Douglas Road. Install new street signs on Merrick Way, Giralda Avenue and Galiano Street similar to those at Galiano and Salzedo. Change plans for creating an "island" at the junction of Galiano, Merrick Way and Giralda. The commission deferred action.

Three Sites Under Study For Club

The three sites are the city-owned property near Ponce de Leon Junior High School, which the group favors, an odd-shaped piece of land at San Amaro Drive and Campo Sano Avenue and the Lovell property at Coral Way and Red Road.
