LEWALLEN PAGE Until the story broke in the papers Monday of the death of novelist Ernest Hemingway, most Gableites were unaware that one of the author's sons is a local resident. Twenty-eight-year-old Gregory Hemingway is in his second year at the University of Miami Medical School. He and his wife, Alice, and John, their 11-month-old son, live at 931 Catalonia Ave. in an apartment. Back from a trip to Boston is Nat Winokur. Now that he's knocked around in that New England traffic he reports motoring in the Gables "is a pleasure. It was miserable up there." Nat went up with his son Stan in the latter's MG. Stan, who'll be a sophomore at the University of Miami this fall, is taking some summer school work at Harvard. Nat flew back home, 5529 Maggiore St. The youngest of the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartnett, Robert C. S. Sampliner, donates prizes on that date for the Biltmore Women's Golf Association. Philip, who was eight years old last week, couldn't be there. He's a patient at Variety Hospital. It was their golden wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Sayre observed it Saturday, and members of the All State Friendship Club, meeting at San Salvador Park's club-house, gave the couple a party. Coffee and cake were served and the couple received a "money" tree on which were hung silver half dollars wrapped in gold foil. Mrs. Yesner is the 1961-62 president of the Sunset Division, NCJW. Bernard C. Moskowitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moskowitz, 640 Santander Ave., was graduated from Southern College of Pharmacy with a BS degree June 5th and summa cum laude honors. Hugh A. Page Jr., of Coral Gables, 12-years with the FBI has been appointed director of the scientific services division of The Wackenhut Corp., here. He has headed his own investigative agency in Coral Gables. He and his family reside at 1133 Milan Ave. Alfred J. Lewallen, 1210 Alfonso Ave., was reelected to the five-man Executive Committee of the Million Dollar Round Table, top sales organization of the life insurance business. He is general agent in Miami for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co. of Newark, N.J. Skogstad Jr. of Tallahassee and their son, Sam III, visited his mother and aunt, Mary Helm Clarke, this week at 1249 Milan Ave. He is teaching economics this summer at Florida State University where he recently received his master's degree.
