BLOCKS AND MEN go into the making of an apartment house, like 43-unit one rising at Santona and Nervia Streets. Working on DeLuxe Apartments, scheduled to open Nov. 15, are Arthur Curtis, drill, and Roy E. Williams, on the ladder.

READY TO FILL the seat of director of the Federal Housing Administration for South Florida, headquarters here, is Billie Wilcox, who was sworn in Monday. Wilcox, mayor of Miami Springs, takes a deep puff on his cigarette as he braces himself for a position which has seen several FHA directors come and go.

It was bright enough to don sun glasses for Gene Derry, starter at the Coral Gables Country Club golf course. As seen in the reflection, the weather was right for golf. Teeing off, at right, is Tom Levinson, 1029 Obisplo Ave. Watching is Bob Wilder, 521 Vilabella Ave.

A FEW TASKS remain before the wraps will be taken off the new Junior Olympic pool at the Coral Gables Country Club. Dedication is set for Aug. 12 with a water show and buffet. Looking on is Tom Buckley, the club's swimming coach.
