Three Coral Gables High School June graduate girls are now freshmen at Maryville College, Maryville, Tenn. They are Elizabeth L. Lee daughter of Kenyon M. Lee, 225 Alesio Ave.; Anne Belle Minear, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruce Minear, 1414 Venetia Ave.; and Marcia Sturm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Sturm, 517 Alcazar Ave.

Mrs. Edwin B. Dean, member of the National Council of Garden Club judges, will conduct a flower arrangement workshop for three consecutive Fridays, beginning Nov. 3, at at the Coral Gables Woman's Club House. It is open to the public. Mrs. Joanne Morrison, 1250 Castile Ave., HI 6-2709 is taking reservations.

James L. Pardee III, son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Riddle, 1309 Asturia Ave., is among 32 Middlebury College senior men promoted in grades to serve in command and staff posts in the college Reserve Officers Training Corps. He was named first lieutenant.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Gabel, 6300 Caballero Blvd., have returned from their summer place in Elkhart, Wisc. With them is Mrs. William Fitzgerald of Milwaukee, who drove down with the Gabels and will be their house guest for a couple of weeks.

Biltmore Women's Golf Association will hold its annual meeting and election of new officers, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at luncheon in the 19th hole. At this time prizes will be awarded the yearly ringer winners.

More than 900 persons - three times more than any ever before - attended the Coral Gables Firemen's Ball last Friday. They weren't hanging from the rafters of the Coral Gables Country Club, but it was real cozy for the firefighters and their friends.

Mrs. Joseph B. Fitzpatrick, 614 San Servando Ave., will be hostess for Nov. 6 meeting of the Theatre Arts League, with coffee and chatter from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

All kinds of awards will be made Tuesday when members of St. Theresa's Senior Catholic Youth Organization give a Happy Hallowe'en party at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Orchestra for dancing; refreshments, too. Mary Ann Dion and Ed Longo are cochairmen. The party is at 8 p.m. and casual or costume dress is okay.

William H. Linkroum III, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Linkroum Jr., 1210 Menda-via Ave., has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army upon completion of the officer candidate course at the Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga. He graduated from Coral Gables High School, in 1957, and attended Williams College, Williamston, Mass. where he was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity.

MR. AND MRS. PHILLIPE Moore, 95 Prospect Dr., and Mrs. Louis Jourdain, 12600 Rolling Rd., disguised as a Dutch girl, pose in the garden of the Roney Plaza Hotel in a sneak "preview" of the cocktail dance-and continental buffet scheduled there Nov. 4. The evening is planned European style-with boulevard and booths. Proceeds are to be used for building and scholarship funds for the Opera Guild of Greater Miami.

Snows Back Here After Four Years in England

Former Gables residents Mr. and Mrs. George D. Snow returned this month with their two children after living abroad for four years in Camberley, Surrey, England. The Snows, who reside at 1415 Country Club Prado, have two children, Diane 12, who attends Ponce Junior High, and G. Daniel, 4. Snow, an airline captain with Pan American Airways, was stationed in Berlin flying the Inter-German System route. He is now attending jet school. Mrs. Snow held a luncheon in honor of Mrs. John Volinino this week in her home. Mr. and Mrs. Volinino and their children, Lynn and Lawerence, bought the Snow's former home at 1119 Palermo Avenue. Those attending the luncheon were Mrs. A. Cubillas, Mrs. Louis Gidel, Mrs. Thomas Armor, Mrs. Jerome Davis, Mrs. Robert Seymour, Mrs. Mary Dunn, Mrs. Philip Kellerher, Mrs, C. Dana Woodman and Mrs. Maylen Pierce.

Eat at Fairchild Today, Help School

The PTA at David Fairchild Elementary School, 5757 SW 45th St., will have a spaghetti dinner in the cafetorium, today (Thursday) from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are adults, $1.50, children 85 cents. The dinner is the PTA's main fund-raising project. Proceeds will go toward the library.
