Deaths in the Gables James Helm, 75, Retired Manager Of Hotel Chain

James J. Helm, 75, of 1524 San Remo Ave., was buried Monday following services at Van Orsdel Coral Gables Mortuary. Mr. Helm, a retired hotel chain manager, died Friday. The one-time manager of the Robert Clay Hotel came here 36 years ago from Ft. Wayne, Ind. He was manager of the Colonial Hotel chain when he retired. Mr. Helm was a member of the Miami Kiwanis Club, Coral Gables Elks Club and was also past president of the Florida Hotel Association and charter member of the Coral Gables Rotary Club. His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pansey B. Helm; a son, Charles A. of Miami; a daughter, Mrs. B. F. Podbel, of Long Island, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Simeon Bluh, 50, Mortgage Firm President

Services for Simeon C. (Neil) Bluh, 50, president of the S. C. Bluh Co., a mortgage firm he founded in 1955, were held Wednesday at Philbrick's Coral Gables Chapel. Mr. Bluh, who lived at 1420 Trillo Ave., headed a team which set up a mortgage insurance program in Guatemala. During World War II, he worked for the Office of Price Administration and after the war he went to Puerto Rico as regional director of the War Assets Administration. Later he became sales and finance manager for L. S. Long Co., in Puerto Rico. Mr. Bluh was a graduate of Columbia University and a member of the Coral Gables Elks. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sons, R. Kenneth and Philip Charles Bluh.

Cmdr. Norris, Granada Blvd.

Services for Cmdr. Charles R. Norris, 76, 2112 Granada Blvd., were held Tuesday at Van Orsdel's Coral Gables mortuary. He came here 16 years ago following service in World Wars I and II. Mr. Norris was a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Associaton of Miami, the Coral Gables Country Club and the Coral Gables Elks Lodge. Survivors are two sons, Capt. C. R. Norris Jr., USN and Col. W. A. Norris, USAF; one brother, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson's Rites in Ind.

Services were held in Indianapolis, Ind., for Mrs. Dovie L. Thompson, 83, of 1019 Lisbon St., who died Saturday.
