by helen reynolds society editor Sandra Dix will be bringing a classmate, Sue Landa, of Bernardsville, N.J., home today (Thursday) from Colby Junior College, New London, N.H., for the spring recess. Sandra is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. S. Dix, 3648 Matheson Ave. One party scheduled while the girls are here will be Sue's birthday and a small dinner party is planned for her on the date. Sandra's engagement to James Andrew Fesler of Gadsden, Ala., was recently announced. She will be graduated in June from Colby. ★ ★ ★ Silver wedding bells will ring Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Levy of 5801 SW 13th St. Their children, who are giving them a party, took up a collection from themselves for the event. They are BonnyJill, a senior at Coral Gables High School; and Randy a junior at Dade County Junior College. They even contacted their older brother, Barry, 23, a traveling salesman in Texas. He sent his fair share. The Levys' came to South Florida 18 years ago. There will be 25 guests at the luau, including some out of towners. Music in the Glenn Miller style will be dispensed by the Bill Henneberg Orchestra Saturday evening at the Riviera Country Club, when members and guests dance and dine at a champagne 8 o'clock dinner. Mr. and Mrs. James Dunlap Picken, 815 Geronimo Dr., will entertain at cocktails in their home, April 5 prior to the Coral Gables Country Club's Little Theater presentation of "The Gazebo." Just home from Victoria Hospital, where she underwent care of a broken right leg and broken right wrist caused by a fall, she says her doctor now tells her she will always have to wear a brace on that right leg. However, her health will not keep her from attending the Pilot Club of Coral Gables, (of which she is a member) meeting Sunday at the Seville Hotel, Miami Beach, for the annual meeting of Pilot's District 4, Pilot International. Mrs. Cornwell, who resides at 2441 SW 21st Ter., was the 1959-60 president of the Coral Gables Club. At that time, she was a secretary at the Riviera Country Club, and she became a secretary for the law frim of Padgett, Teasley and Niles of Coral Gables through Inman Padgett, who was then president of the Riviera Club. She made the Pilot's 7th annual benefit luncheon held at the Fountainbleau Hotel in February in a wheel chair, and was just out of the hospital where she underwent chest surgery.
