MR. AYERS Clarence Ayers, Gables Pioneer, CPA Firm Head

Services were held Friday at Van Orsdel's Coral Gables Mortuary for Clarence R. Ayers, 61, 3620 Harlano St., who died Wednesday of last week. Mr. Ayers, one of Coral Gables' pioneer citizens, came here in 1929 from Tampa. He was founder of Ayers, Jureit and Bond Accounting firm of 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., and was a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Ayers was a charter member of the Coral Gables Country Club, member of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables and the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Leora; two daughters, Helen (Mrs. Kenneth) Houp, Tokyo, Japan, and Eston (Mrs. C. Elwood) Futch; a son, Charles, of Coral Gables, and seven grandchildren.

E. H. Goodrich, Alhambra Circle

Services for Edward H. Goodrich, 88, of 1420 Alhambra Cir., who died Sunday, were held yesterday (Wednesday in Philbrick's Coral Gables Chapel. He came here 26 years ago from Springfield Mass., where he was head of the Technical High School science department. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Yocum, and a brother.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Miller Held On Friday

Services for Mrs. Virginia Bailey Miller of 5701 Michelangelo Ave., who died March 21 took place last Friday at St. Phillip's Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. Interment will be in Jacksonville. Mrs. Miller came here in 1953 from Harrisburg, Va., She did volunteer work at South Miami Hospital and the Baptist Hospital and also helped in Grove House, art gallery for budding artists. She is survived by her husband, Francis, two daughters, Mrs. Martin G. Williams of Jacksonville and Mrs. William L. S. Sprague of Whittier, Calif. three sisters, one brother; and six grandchildren.

DENNIS CRAVERO Dennis Cravero Dies in Wreck

Last rites for Dennis P. Cravero Jr., 23-year-old son of Dennis P. Cravero of 5704 Granada Blvd., were held Wednesday with requiem mass at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He was a member of the Miami Dragsters and the International Association of Dragsters. Survivors also include two brothers, George and Richard; and his grandmother, Mrs. Frances Cravero, all of Miami. The auto accident which took his life occurred Sunday in Fort Myers.

Roy J. Biery, Ran Huddle Bar

Services for Roy Jacob Biery, 76, of 1228 Catalonia Ave., who died March 21 were held last Saturday at Philbrick's Coral Gables Chapel. Mr. Biery, who came here in 1936 from Allentown, Pa., was the owner and operator of the Huddle Bar and Grille, 252 Alcazar Ave. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Grace G.; two sisters, and one brother.

Wall Resigns At Riviera

Arnold Wall, for the past 11 years the manager of the Riviera Country Club, has resigned. Wall said he was planning to go into some other field of work that was not as confining. He will see the current expansion through before leaving about Aug. 1, he said. "I hope to stay in this area," Wall said. "Naturally, we will miss him," said Stuart Patton, president. "He has been a long and faithful manager."
