Zamora Sisterhood Plans Yom Kippur Night Dance
Temple Zamora Sisterhood is busy making plans for a Yom Kippur Night Dance Monday and Welcome Home Dinner scheduled for Oct. 28, and a Gay Nineties Party, Nov. 17. Mrs. Stanley Silvern, Mrs. Ann Goldberg and Mrs. Rose Galton are making the arrangements. Included in other fall activities is a series of luncheons, the first of which will be held Oct. 17 at the synagogue. A regular sisterhood meeting Wednesday, October 10, at 8:15 p.m. at the Synagogue, will draw the attention of the members to the holidays of Succoth and Simchas Torah, according to the Cultural vice-president, Mrs. Harold Shuman. A lighter side of the program will feature members of the sisterhood as models for a fashion Show by Acines of Miracle Mile. Other officers beside the presidium and Mrs. Shuman include: chairman of the board, Mrs. Sam Altman; membership vice-president, Mrs. Ann Hirsh; fund raising vice-president, Mrs. Sam Rozeen; recording secretary, Mrs. Harry Fishman; corresponding secretary, Mrs. Herman Douglass; financial secretary, Mrs. Louis Chartor; treasurer, Mrs. Nathan Goldy; parliamentarian, Mrs. Sam Rabenowich. Donor chairmen are Mrs. Dorothy Greenberg and Mrs. Oscar Smukler. The hospitality committee is headed by Mrs. Helen Fried, Mrs. David Rose and Mrs. Leon Honig. Social Action chairman is Mrs. David Kivel; sunshine, Mrs. Milton Binstock; constitution revision, Mrs. Edwin Solomon. Telephone chairman is Mrs. Dotty Rains, with Mrs. Harry Kaminoff assisting. Oneg Shabbat chairman is Mrs. Sam Miller, with co-chairman, Mrs. Harriet Spector, Mrs. Ed Fabricannd is in charge of rummage. Mrs. Irving Simons is retention chairman; Mrs. Hershel Brooks, adult education; Mrs. Irving Klein, Torah Fund; song chairman, Mrs. Joseph Kwart, and publicity chairman, Mrs. Harold Shapiro.
Biltmore Golf
Mrs. Ken Kessler and Mrs. Helen Anderson netted 133 to win the partner's best ball tournament of the Coral Gables Women's Biltmore Golf Association. A second place tie with a net score of 140 existed between the teams of Mrs. Len Tete, Mrs. Thelma Brundage and Mrs. John Roll, Mrs. B. Rudnick. The tournament, played Friday of last week, was sponsored by Carroll Jewelers.

Don Petrine and Edwin Horowitz have tied in Westbrooke County Club's first Round Robin tennis tournament. Duplicate trophies will be awarded the men who topped a field of 40 entrants. In the boys division of the Round Robin tourney, Mike Kramer and Dennis Fleming will play off for the championship.

Nichols To Give Concert
Pianist Thomas Nichols, will give a public concert Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Dixie Room of the Musician's Club, 303 Minorca. A tea will follow the performance. Included in the program will be Chaconne by Bach-Busoni, Alborado del Grazioso and Ondine by Maurice Ravel. In addition to being a pianist, Nichols is also a teacher, composer, conductor, musicologist, organist and harpsichordist. After studies at the Eastman School of Music, he taught for four years at the University of Tulsa, four years at University of North Carolina and eight years at Greensboro College, N.C. He has been a soloist with the Eastman-Rochester Symphony under Howard Hanson, the Charlotte Symphony under James Christian Pfohl and the orchestras of Tulsa, Greensboro, and University of North Carolina. As an accompanist, he appears each season with artists of the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Center. He is presently an organist at Wesley Methodist Church of Miami-Coral Gables.
