Gables Fire Chief Paul Matheson and Mrs. Matheson attended the International Association of Fire Chiefs in Toronto, Canada, last week. City Attorney Ted Semple and Mrs. Semple motored to Chicago last week, where he attended the conference of National Association of Municipal Officers. The Semples are planning an extensive tour of the Western states before returning. Denise Edwards, Dorothy D. Jones and Paula Walker, three Coral Gables girls, are candidates for the five-member Court for Florida State University's Homecoming Nov. 2-3. Forty-four candidates, all of them seniors, are running for the Court. The student body will elect one of the five to become Homecoming Queen on Oct. 22.
