Police Department to Be Surveyed

A survey of the Coral Gables Police Department by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, has been authorized by the City Commission. The survey, previously okayed by the Metro Commission for all police forces in Dade County, would have been conducted anyway, but the City's move indicates cooperation. Commissioner C. L. Dressel Jr. opposed the move even after fellow commissioners agreed that the survey could only serve as a guide line and would not, could not be implemented by without City Commission approval. City Manager L. W. Robinson Jr. said Police Chief William Kimbrough had no recommendation one way or another. Asked by Commissioner Franklin Evans if he thought the survey would be unbiased, Robinson said: "I must feel that way .."
