Westchester Taps Bimonte As President

Myron Bimonte, a 14-year employe of the Food Fair chain and manager of their Westchester store, has been elected president of the Westchester Shopping Plaza Merchant's Association for 1962. Robert Drucker of Juvenile World is the new vice president; and Mrs. Mergene Martin of Diana Shops, secretary-treasurer. Elected to the board of directors were David Kraft, Marvin Ashkin, Joseph Katz, Sam Alhadaff, Maurice Marco, Fred Tyndall and Edward Cease. Bimonte, a native of New Haven, Conn., lives at 6321 SW 20th St., West Miami. The Bimontes have six children and are members of the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables. Bimonte, an Air Force World War II veteran, is leader of Cub Scout Troup 417 at St. Theresa's Catholic School. Future meetings of the association will be held at the new Westbrooke Country Club, Bimonte said. An advertising program, centered around community life, is being planned, he said. An invitation for all groups to use the center parking lot for civic affairs has been extended, Bimonte said.

Coral Way Presbyterian Serves Youth Each Day

For the past 14 years, the Women's Association of the Coral Way Presbyterian Church, 2091 SW 14th Ave., has had a fund raising Valentine tea. This year the date is Feb. 15. Mrs. Milo Coffrin, 6401 Riviera Dr., a charter member of the association, will open her home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and the public is invited. Mrs. Roy Wilson, 127 Phoenitia Ave., is co-chairman. Mrs. Steve Taylor, 5633 Granada Blvd., is president. Coral Way Presbyterian is built along modernistic lines. It was erected in 1946. The pastor is the Rev. James Clinefelter, who has organized a Youth Club of both girls and boys. They come directly to the church from school, one day a week except during the summer vacation. They take art work and Bible study. Bon Voyage For Lipmans

Dr. and Mrs. Robert I. Tanner, 5901 SW 100th Ter. honored Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lipman, at a Bon Voyage party Saturday. The Lipmans are leavig for Bogota, Colombia, where Lipman, assistant professor of sociology at the University of Miami, has been granted a Fulbright scholarship. He will be teaching at the University of Bogota for one year.
