St. Faith's To Celebrate 'Parisian Holiday'
It will soon be Paris at Cutler Ridge. On Saturday, Nov. 5, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., a "Parisien Holiday" will be staged in the shopping Center Mall and Community Center Building by St. Faith's Episcopal Church, when it unfolds its annual bazaar, according to Mrs. Ward Coleman, publicity chairman. The yearly extravaganza is being moved to the Cutler Ridge Regional Shopping Center to take advantage of the throngs of shoppers, according to Mrs. William Townshend and Mrs. Percival S. Black, general chairmen. Booths Planned Booths will be erected along the walkways in the mall and in the Community Center Building and will be stocked with everything from toys to children's clothes to baked goods to general foods to Christmas decorations to plants to flowers and more. A program of entertainment has been planned by Charles Ralston, who will coordinate the Men's Club on running the games and rides. For months members of the church, including the teenagers, have been busy in their workshops creating merchandise that will be sold and given away during the one day "Parisien Holiday". Proceeds will go to the building fund of St. Faith's Episcopal Church, according to Rev. Father Newton Wilbur. Booths, Chairmen Categories of the various booths and the chairman in charge are as follows: general chairmen, Mrs. William Townshend and Mrs. Percival S. Black; toys, Mrs. Walter Simpson and Mrs. William Carter; children's clothing, Mrs. James MacMillan and Mrs. Bay Williams; bake goods, Mrs. Robert Penny and Mrs. James Tucker; white elephant, Mrs. George Drinkwater; gifts, Mrs. Helen Basse and Mrs. Gilbert Pletts; small fry booth, Mrs. Joseph Molenda; plants and flowers, Mrs. W. W. Carmichael and Mrs. Edward Pearch; post office, Mrs. Caius Carpenter; food, Mr. and Mrs. William Andrew; Christmas decorations, Mrs. Carol Hartley and Mrs. Roper; publicity, Mrs. Ward Coleman and games and rides, Mr. Candies Ralston.

Flagami Baptist Seeks $25,000
The Flagami Baptist Church's "$25,000 Building Drive" is still short of its $25,000 goal, according to a church spokesman, but pledges are still coming in. The drive was started in September to raise money for a new educational building and equipment, and will continue until next September. On Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m., the film "Captured" will be shown in the church auditorium. It is a movie based on actual court cases concerning the separation of church and state.
Baptist Revival
There will be a revival at Flagler St. Baptist Church from Oct. 30 through Nov. 6. Services on Sundays will be at 11 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. and Nightly except Saturday at 7:45. The Rev. Leland H. Waters of the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention will be the evangelist. Rev. James R. Copeland will lead the music.
TWO IS COMPANY and three is a crowd, but it takes that many to let you know that Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables is preparing for its Nov. 2 bazaar 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. There'll be various kinds of Christmas gifts and attractive ornaments to make your Yuletide tree resplendent. The three women here are members posing with their "friend." It's a snow-white hat-topped face set against a red background sprinkled with gold stars. Temple To Meet New Members
New members of Temple Zamora will be introduced during Friday services at 8:15 p.m. with an Oneg Shabbath hour following in the social hall. Rabbi Leon Hurwitz will speak on "Our Mutual Relative - His Heritage" at the Temple, 44 Zamora Ave. Conducting the ceremony concerning new members will be the president of the Temple, Nathan Davidow, 647 Palermo Ave.; Hilbert Leavitt, 3325 SW 20th St. and Monte Rassner, 6406 San Vicente Ave.
Mitchell Senitt Will Be Bar Mitzvah
Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Senitt, 1840 SW 93rd Pl., will be Bar Mitzvah at the Israelite Center on Saturday morning, Oct. 29, with Rabbi Morton Malavsky officiating. Cantor Louis Cohen will render the liturgy. Mitchell is an honor student at Rockaway Junior High. He is also president of his class, group leader in gymnasium and speech. He is a student at the Israelite Center Religious School. After the religious services, a Kiddush will follow in the Social Hall. Out-of-town guests will be his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Berger of New York. A reception will be held on Saturday night at the Israelite Center Social Hall.
Lecture Series Will Begin At Westminster
An associate professor of theology at the Harvard Divinity School, Dr. Hans Hoffman, will be at the Westminster Chapel, 5225 Ponce de Leon Blvd., to present three lectures as part of the Westminster Community Lecture Series. The talks will begin at 8 for the three nights, Oct. 30-Nov. 1. The schedule and titles of the lectures are: Oct. 30, "Sin or Handicap"; Oct. 31, "Guilt Feelinga Pro and Con," and Nov. 1, "Quest and Purpose." Before coming to Harvard, Dr. Hoffman attended the universities of Basel, Zurich, Geneva, Paris, Marburg, and Princeton. His studies included theology, philosophy, psychology, and psychoanalysis. Dr. Hoffman holds degrees from the following schools: B. D., University of Basel; Ph. M., University of Paris; and Th. D., University of Zurich. Dr. Hoffman's past work includes the Deanship of the University Chapel of Zurich, lecturer of systematic theology and psychology of religion and member of the research staff in social and educational psychology of the International Red Cross. He came to the United States in 1953 to teach systematic theology and psychology of religion at Princeton Theological Seminary. He acquired his present position in 1957. Dr. Hoffman has made several contributions to professional journals and "The Theology of Reinhold Niebuhr", Scribner's, 1956.
Christian Science Lecture Is Offered
Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Miami, has invited the public to attend a free lecture on Christian Science in the Palmetto High School Auditorium, SW 77th Ave. and SW 120th St., at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30. Mrs. Elisabeth Carroll Scott, of Memphis, a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, will be the speaker. Her subject will be "Christian Science: Its Purpose and Practice."

This 'N That Shop Is Three
The This 'n That Shop, 3155 Commodore Plaza, sponsored by the Plymouth Congregational Church, is celebrating its third anniversary this week. Proceeds from the shop are used to support a doctor and his wife in the mission field, and to award yearly scholarships to church related colleges. The shop window, in connection with Halloween, features a scarecrow in a tophat and tails. Also on display are ornate evening gowns donated for the showing.
