Three Named To Goodwill Auxiliary Posts
Three residents of Coral Gables and the adjacent area have been named committee chairmen by Mrs. James A. Morgan, following her installation Feb. 6 as president of the Woman's Auxiliary of Goodwill Industries. Goodwill Industries is a non-profit organization which offers employment and rehabilitation to the physically handicapped. The Woman's Auxiliary will aid in a number of projects, according to Mrs. Morgan, who is immediate past president of Dade Federation of Women's Clubs. Named as committee chairmen by Mrs. Morgan were Mrs. Richard Shaddick, 645 Alhambra Dr., chairman for retail liaison; Mrs. Roy Perry, 2640 Hilola Ave., chairman of promotion and Mrs. S. J. Bobbitt, 1877 SW 25th St., courtesy chairman. Those interested in becoming members of the Goodwill Auxiliary and assisting in projects for the physically handicapped are invited by Mrs. Morgan to contact the membership chairman, Mrs. Herbert Reinhard St., WI 7-3700.
'Public Invited To Dramatization
The Herbertans, a parliamentary law club, announces a book dramatization by Mrs. Frank Kerdyk will take place Thursday, Feb 23, at the Musician's Club of America. Miss Dorothy McMaster of Coral Gables, president of the club, said the entertainment by Mrs. Kerdyk will be open to the public. Tickets at the door will be $1. Miss MacMaster will greet guests at the door of the "Dixie Room" of the Musicians Club where the program will take place.
Cutler Ridge Prize Winners
Prizes and ribbons were won by three members of the Coral Way Garden Club who entered the Cutler Ridge Flower Show. Mrs. F. X. Williams won a second prize and Mrs. James Buckley a second and third for their entries of violets. Mrs. Richard Ringemann had two entries in the horticulture Division, winning first and second prizes.
Mrs. Thurman Will Be Hostess
Mrs. Harold Thurman, 3801 Riviera Dr., will be hostess Tuesday for the 10:30 a.m. meeting of the Banyan Garden Club. William Davenport, landscape architect for the Dade County Parks Department, will be the speaker. His subject, "Creating the Crandon Park Children's Zoo."
FASHIONS THAT WILL MEND HEARTS are shown here by members of the South Dade chapter of the National Children's Cardiac Hospital. Members modeled the fashions in a show at the Biscayne Terrace Hotel Wednesday night. Proceeds will go to the hospital's research department to help conquer children's heart ailments. In the hospital's patio are, left to right, Janice Feldman in a white and green, one-piece bathing suit with matching jacket; Anne Lee Schreiber, a white linen sheath and short jacket with double-breasted buttons. The jacket has an India print lining. Accentuating the midriff is an India print cummerbund. Shirley Siltzer is wearing a pure silk linen white and black sheath with a short, full evening coat (black). A rhinestone clip accentuates the dress' vertical black banding. Sandra Shore is modeling a pure silk linen, navy blue sheath with a large, picture collar (white).
Gables Flower Show To Be Fashion Setting Too
Clothes for every member of the family and for every phase of Florida living will be modeled at the spring fashion show to be presented in connection with the Coral Gables Garden Club Flower Show. The floral event is being held in the Masonic Temple, 41 Valencia, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24 and 25. The fashion show will be a feature of the second day of the exhibition, starting at 2 p.m. in the patio garden. In an atmosphere of floral loveliness with soft music as background, 13 models of assorted ages will display some 35 ensembles selected from the cream of Coral Gables shops.

Italian Americans To Aid Hospital
Members and auxiliary of the Italian American War Veterans are having their sixth anniversary ball, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 8:30 p.m., in the Fontaine Room of the Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida. Proceeds will be used for the rehabilitation of veterans, and social activities at the Veterans Hospital.
The Minerva Club
The Minerva Club, composed of mothers and sisters of active chapter members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Miami, will meet in luncheon session at noon today at the Riviera Country Club.
