Mayor honors Dade's physically disabled
"Think Able-Disabled, not Handicapped" was the theme of Dade County's Physically Disabled Awareness Week. Mayor Robert Knight, of Coral Gables, issued an official proclamation honoring the week which Dade's Advisory Board on the Physically Disabled used to gather signatures for a petition supporting legislation to include the handicapped under the civil right and equal employment laws.
Fair housing sales
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced that a number of Florida land developers and HUD officials will sign a voluntary areawide affirmative housing marketing plan on Friday, June 4 at the Montegonian Restaurant on Ponce de Leon Boulevard. The agreement covers all real estate and housing marketing sales and assures fair marketing practices.

The eight-week course will cost $30, including materials and supplies. For more active participation, the Youth Center is holding Israeli folk dancing every Thursday night from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. starting May 27. The weekly admission will be $1.50 and easy and intermediate dances will be taught.
