South Miami Jose Yllan reported Jan. 10 that a townhouse belonging to Marbidt, Inc. was entered and a General Electric refrigerator, valued at $250, was removed. The townhouse had been left open for painters to have access to the dwelling. Helen Barron reported that her home was broken into during the early morning hours of Jan. 10. Taken from the residence, 5855 SW 65th Ave., while she and her son were sleeping, were two television sets, a bracelet, a ring and $55 in cash. Total estimated value of the items taken was put at $1685. Tupko Charlett of the Dade County Health Dept. office at 5798 SW 68th St., reported that between Jan. 9 and 10, someone used beer bottles to break several windows in the health department office. Coral Gables Thomas M. Findlay, 80, of 731 Aledo Ave., reported someone stole two hubcaps from his automobile. Richard P. Weida, 34, of 312 Aledo Ave., reported to police that someone stole a large fern from his front porch. Ricardo Herrera, 22, of 5709 SW Sixth St., reported someone removed his CB radio, eight track tapes and a two piece cue stick and case from his car, while he was parked at Villa Cortez, 4700 SW Eighth St. Carlos Vaamonde, 48, of 439 Alhambra Cir., reported someone stole a large plant from his porch. Two days later Vaamonde reported that the four tires on his automobile had been punctured with a sharp instrument. Winiford Sands, 64, of 503 Almeira, reported someone stole his potted fern from the front porch. Desi Sanchez, 27, of 1400 Douglas Rd., said he left his bicycle unlocked in the parking lot of his apartment building, and the bicycle was stolen. South Dade James Wilson of 12800 SW 200th St., reported that between Jan. 4 and 10, someone broke into his home and stole a shotgun, a rifle and a pistol, all valued at $450. Employes at the Gamina Construction Co., reported that two model homes, at 7800 and 7741 SW 170th St., were broken into between Jan. 7 and 10. Taken were two light fixtures valued at $300 each. Gary Wertheimer of 16211 SW 104th Ave., reported that $100 in currency was taken from his bedroom on Jan. 9. West Dade Osmundo Perez of 12502 SW 26th St., reported that two cement pots four feet high and two feet in diameter were stolen from the front of his home on Jan. 10. The two pots were valued at $300. Raul Oliva of 4210 SW 102nd Ave., reported that someone pulled up the trees in front of his home on Jan. 10. Mary Jane Romer of 6375 SW 125th Ave., reported that a 1972 blue and white horse trailer was stolen from her ranch sometime Jan. 9 or 10. The trailer is valued at $1,200. Employes of the Palmetto Extensive Care Center, 7600 SW Eighth St., reported that $500 worth of business machines and a portable television were stolen from their offices, sometime Jan. 9 or 10. Richard Stelljes, of 6824 SW 114th Ave., reported that $358 in cash was stolen from his home on Jan. 6.
