Biltmore Women Elect Halpern; Present Awards
The Biltmore Women's Golf Associated closed a successful year Oct. 31 with election of officers, presentation of annual awards and a luncheon at the "19th" hole. Mrs. Adele Halpern, 406 Malaga Ave., is the new golf chairman. Mrs. Blanche Rudnic, 6381 SW 63rd Ave.; is secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Benjamin Weiner, 2010 South Miami Ave., former golf chairman became the president. Mrs. Leonard Peto, 6255 SW 56th St., is the new chairman of publicity. Prizes for the end of the year were given and Mrs. Edna Kaspar, 30 Montilla Ave., was presented the trophy for the golfer showing the most improvement. Results of the weekly tournament Wednesday, Nov. 1, low gross on par 3's played in classes, were—Mrs. Mike Gorman, with a 13 won in Class A; Mrs. J. Temple and Mrs. Jack Tarr, tied with a 13 in Class B; in Class C, Mrs. Helen Singer and Miss Louise Husband tied with a 16.
