14 Gables Burglaries Solved; Boy, 14, Held
Fourteen Coral Gables home burglaries have been cleared up with the apprehension of a 14-year-old boy. One home was hit four times. The boy, caught by Det. Don Clermont after several weeks of investigation, has been turned over to the Juvenile Court for a hearing. According to Clermont, the youth victimized homes in a 10-block area from his home. The object of the boy's theft was always women's undergarments. Once he got money by mistake and it was found later, Clermont said. Under suspicion for some time, the net finally closed on the boy when Clermont questioned him about the thefts and he admitted them. Clermont, the Police Department's juvenile officer, said the boy is in need of psychiatric treatment. Here is a list of the known victims: Alan Fogg, 3107 Alhambra Cir.; Jeannie Clare, 1525 Palancia Ave.; Dr. Jewel Pender, 4304 Alhambra Cir.; Jose M. Alvarez, 4320 Alhambra Cir.; Alfred E.
